FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Corey Conley Preps For 2006
Wellsburg, WV --- Popular West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Corey Conley
has spent the off-season preparing for the upcoming 2006 season that will see
the winning driver take to the road next year in search of high-profile
sanctioned and television races throughout the Midwest and east coast. A new
racecar, an updated website, an aggressive marketing program and a new outlook
on his program will see Conley up and down the interstates taking on some of
the best in the business. Conley feels the time has come to climb another rung
in the ladder of big time dirt Late Model racing.
“We’ll try to travel out a little more every weekend, more than we did this
year,” confirmed Conley. “We’re going to run more sanctioned shows and bigger
money shows. You can’t afford to race a local Friday or Saturday night show
anymore. Most of your sanctions now are paying good enough money to start that
you’d have to finish second or third to make that. It’s just getting
ridiculous. Our local tracks are charging more and more and paying less.”
Conley hopes going on the road to sanctioned and big money events as well as
television races will help increase awareness of his team and abilities.
Conley hopes his marketing campaign will lead to bigger things.
“I certainly hope so,” stated Conley. “I believe going on the road will help
us with exposure, it should and I believe it will. We’ve raced with the
professionals a good bit the last three or four years and every time we run
with them we run well so I think if we can just get out there and run with
them more often we can get up front a little better and maybe win a few races
out there.”
Conley is getting his arsenal ready for 2006. “We have a brand new 2006 Rocket
Chassis and my back up car will be a 2004 Rocket Chassis,” revealed Conley.
“We are in good shape car-wise we just need to get our motor program picked up
a little bit.”
2005 was a season that saw him grab eight dirt Late Model feature wins along
with six Modified victories.
“We had a real good year,” commented Conley. “Eight wins isn’t what we’re
accustomed to, I’d like to win more than eight but we ran a lot more of the
bigger shows instead of staying around home. I think four of those eight were
50 lap events which isn’t too bad.”
As of this point in time Conley will run an independent schedule in 2006 based
on logistics but a run with a series isn’t out of the question. “We probably
will stay independent but if we could pick up some help I’d like to get out on
the road and follow something like the MACS series.”
Conley who is also a guest speaker for the D.A.R.E Drug Prevention team at
local grade schools and a supporter of the Salvation Army in Wellsburg, WV,
will continue to work with current and potential sponsors in preparation for
2006. 2006 sponsors will be announced soon.

December 17, 2005
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Dirt Nation™ Looks Ahead To ‘06
Hampton, VA --- The popular dirt racing radio program Dirt Nation™ presented
by Lucas Oil is gearing up for the 2006 racing season in a big way. Going into
it’s fourth season bringing the dirt racing industry the voices of the sport
Dirt Nation™ will expand it’s ‘road’ schedule in addition to bringing the
personalities and stars of the sport of Late Model, Sprint Car & Modified
racing to listeners every Monday night. But before 2006 arrives the proponents
of the show would like to acknowledge the listeners and guests who made 2005
so special.
"During this wonderful time of year I would like to take the opportunity to
wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” stated Dave Seay,
co-host of Dirt Nation™. “2005 has been a marvelous year for Dirt Nation™ with
a lot of firsts for the show. From our first visit to Eldora and the DTWC, to
our first ever broadcast on the road at Motorsports 2005 and our first road
trip to a track, Wayne County Speedway and the creation of our new website.
Along the way I have enjoyed the opportunity to meet some of very loyal
listeners of which we couldn't do without.”
“It’s all about the listeners,” added Doc Lehman, co-host of Dirt Nation™. “On
behalf of my wife, kids and grandkids we would like to wish each and everyone
in the racing community a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well and hope
that everyone can spend that special Christmas Day with family, friends and
loved ones.”
“2005 was a terrific year for us on the show. The response and outpouring of
support from the listeners has been tremendous and Dave and I are amazed,
surprised and especially grateful to everyone who tunes in each week. Gearing
the show towards the guests and listeners is the key to the show’s success and
we appreciate their support and interest. We had about 275 guests on during
2005 and each and everyone was special and we thank them for spending time
with us.”
"We couldn't have had such a wonderful year without the help of our sponsors
like Virginia Motor Speedway, DirtAmericaOnline.com, Slavic Custom T-Shirt
Designs, JD3 Graphics Lettering and Design and especially Lucas Oil,”
commented Seay. “Forest Lucas and his staff have allowed us to expand what we
are trying to accomplish with Dirt Nation™ and for that we are greatly
appreciative. All I can say is just wait and see what 2006 has to offer!"
“And a big thanks to Chuck Hall at Racetalklive,” interjected Lehman. “This
show wouldn’t exist without Chuck Hall’s belief in the show as well as his
support, encouragement and professionalism. His station, WLRT 1490 and
Racetalklive are important to dirt racing and Dave and I are grateful for his
investment and commitment to dirt racing and motorsports in general.”
When the new year rolls around there will be some experimenting with the
format as the hosts hope to bring more news to the listeners in addition to
even more guests. New segments will be introduced and during the 2006 racing
season there will be several fan promotions implemented that are currently
being negotiated.
The show will also go back ‘on the road’ in 2006 for several special events
including the upcoming Motorsports 2006 presented by VP Racing Fuels held in
Ft. Washington, PA January 13-15. The show is also confirmed to return to the
26th Annual Dirt Track World Championship at KC Raceway and a handful of
promoters are currently working with Dirt Nation™ to bring the show to their
tracks and special events throughout the 2006 season.
To end the 2005 season Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil will host the final
two shows on December 19 that will spotlight the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series with several officials from the series and Lucas Oil company as well as
Earl Pearson, Jr., and Scott James among others. Also that night will be Big
Block Modified/Sprint Car driver Andy Priest. On Monday December 26 Dirt
Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil will highlight Dirt Motorsports. Tentatively
slated are Dirt's Brian Carter, Tonya Moschelle, Shane Carson, Billy Moyer,
Billy Decker, Bret Emrick and more TBA.
“To bottom-line it, we’d like to thank those who tune in and put up with our
goofiness,” commented Lehman. “We're just a couple of bums trying to have fun.
We ain't curing cancer or anything important, just trying to bring the
personalities and newsmakers of the sport to the listeners so they, and we,
can get to know them and if we can all clown around a little and have some
positive fun on occasion, why not?”
Seay & Lehman would also like to acknowledge the following for their support,
help and backing during 2005: Brian Tidball, Ron Fleenor, Mike Farr, Ryan
Pearson, Wayne Castleberry, Steve Scheidker, Tina Heil, Joe Pratt and Kim &
Carol.
And of course the show’s sponsors for 2005: Lucas Oil Company, Virginia Motor
Speedway, Dirt America Online, Slavic Custom Shirts & Decals and JD3Graphics &
Lettering.

$6,200.00 was added to the till from the first ever Gifts for Kids Live/Silent
auction held on November 12th at the new Heartland Hall Convention Center in
Bedford.
Zembower, who founded the event, is dedicated. “There are several reasons why
I do this,” commented Zembower. “Just being able to make a difference for
needy children. I love Christmas and the whole deal. I could do without
Halloween and get right to the holidays. I’ve always been a big proponent of
moving the sport past the days of when people looked at you crossed eyed when
you said ‘I’m a stock car driver’. And what better way to do that. The whole
NASCAR and TV deal of the past 25 years has helped elevate the sport. We at
the local level still need to do our part.”
Zembower is also excited that the event has lasted eight years and continues
to grow. “Always a great driver and fan turnout,” said Zembower. “Just over
1000 people attended last year’s event. The fans love meeting the drivers. In
addition tot he NASCAR drivers we’ll have notable dirt stars like Gerald
Chamberlain, Charlie Cragan, Jack Pencil, Scott Rhodes, Larry Wright, Turk
Burkett, Jim Nave and Nick Dickson.”
“The event keeps growing and growing. Just having champ Ted Musgrave attend
the event is big news and the same with Jimmy Spencer with his recent TV
popularity. Mike Wallace has been a big supporter of this in the past and is
super to work with. He treats the fans great”
Along with Thomas Automotive and Smith Transport, other supporters of Gifts
for Kids include: Interstate NAPA of Bedford & Breezewood, Cellular One,
