Results For Middleford Speedway September 8, 2006

A few weeks ago Brent Sutton was sweating, welding a new front clip onto his white number 3 600 micro sprint. Friday night he was driving that same car to victory at Middleford Speedway in one of the most exciting 25-lap main events of the year.

Sutton started on the pole by virtue of his victory in the first heat race. He lead every lap, but that doesn't come close to explaining how exciting this race was. "Nitro" Nick Sapp started in the sixth spot and found speed in the high groove, eventually working his way up to the second spot. From there he began his assault on Sutton actually taking the lead, but a yellow flag wiped out that pass.

On the ensuing restart Sapp failed to fire and dropped back through the pack. Scotty The Hammer" Smith was next to take his shots at Sutton, pulling even with him on the backstretch on two consecutive laps; however Sutton would not be shaken and went on to take his first career victory.

The Wildest Night on Record Tonight In Middleford Speedway Action

August 25, 2006

The Wildest Night on Record for This Young Man Tonight In Middleford Speedway Action.  Justin Breeding started 9th in the heat with 11 cars running and finished 4th to start in the feature.

Tyler Reed #72 was full of power tonight and was untouchable taking home 1st place. The #15 car of Scott Hitchens ran a great race as well and finished 2nd. Curtis Miles #21 took home 3rd in Jr. Mod Lite action.

As for Breeding, he came off turn 4, and in the last few laps of the race with, the #3 driven by Brandon Mullins ahead of him. Mullins came off the turn a little high and trying to avoid what was in his sights ahead.  Breeding would come down into the lap car of #711 driven by Allen Parks.  With Justin right on Mullin's back door and no place to go, Justin tried to miss the contact between the #711 and #3 but no such luck.

Breeding would try to stay low only to find his back left tire going up over the nose of Mullins.  Breeding runs up over Mullins back right sending Breeding airborne. The only part of Breeding’s car that touched the ground was his front bumper skimming the dirt.

The crew & team knew the car was going to start tumbling head over heels from the front of the car to rear. Luckily, and short of a miracle he did not, though.  Once Breeding’s car came to a halt, he was checked over for injuries by the EMS on duty.

Breeding wasn't able to speak at first as he was unable to catch his breathe for a few minutes.  The ride he had in the air and slamming down knocked the wind out of him. Then the thumb up sign was given. He was okay.  When the race was over we were told that they have never seen a car with such height off the ground that didn't flip.

Out of the 11 cars that started in the feature only 4 finished.  With Justin's DNF he came in 6th.
