RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES

ED AIKIN PLANS TO WIN RACES IN 2012 AND SEE IF THAT LEADS HIM TO A URC CHAMPIONSHIP

Ed Aikin of Lincoln Park University, PA was victorious in one of URC's richest paying events of 2011, winning the Rislone URC season finale at the Grandview Speedway on October 15. The event was sponsored by Pioneer Pole Buildings, INC with a $1,000 bonus added by Viper-Venom Fuels and Aikin cashed a check for $4,000. It was not an easy win as Aikin and Dave Ely exchanged the lead numerous times, as Robbie Stillwaggon began reeling in the leaders in the final laps. Stillwaggon passed Ely for second but ran short of time to challenge Aikin for the win. The victory for Aikin was a thrill, not only winning at his home track, but the lucrative winner's share will be key in providing his team the necessary funds to prep for 2012. "That win meant everything! . . . . we are going to take it one race at a time and just try to win races, we'll see where we are in the standings in July and go from there", commented Aikin, owner of six career Rislone URC feature wins.

In 2011, Aikin delivered a strong season on the strength of two wins and a twelfth place finish in the point chase. "I feel I have the best crew chief around, that being Brian Seidel", added Aikin. Seidel, a former URC driver champion knows well the tracks where URC visits and is very familiar with hitting the right set-up. Joining Seidel on the Aikin Team are crew members Steve Taylor, George Loux and Mike Krewson. The Maxim Chassis Don Ott powered Aikin machine will carry sponsorship from BRB Site Contractors, TANRACINGCOLLECTIBLESONLINE.COM, CnB Mushrooms and Atlantic Speed along product sponsors Radical Design, Don Ott, VRP Shocks, DMI and SDS Web Creations.

On August 3rd, 2007, Ed Aikin scored what possibly could be the biggest win of his career, winning the Rislone Nationals at the prestigious Williams Grove Speedway. Winning at the Grove, collecting the $4,000 payday and beating some of the best sprint car drivers in the business, move this victory to the top of his career win list. Since the Rislone Nationals started in 2006, Aikin is the only URC regular to win this national event. Past winners include Pat Cannon 2006, Ed Aikin 2007, Kenny Adams 2008, Aaron Ott 2009, Daryn Pittman 2010 and Lance Dewease was the 2011 winner. When asked if this was his biggest accomplishment in racing, Ed Aikin quickly replied, "Absolutely! It doesn't get any better then winning at the Grove and beating a field of fifty-eight sprint cars that year".

The United Racing Company made some changes at mid-season 2011, first, to pay out in two increments, over $15,000 cash in a Rislone Loyalty Program, and to cancel their prestigious annual awards banquet. The ultimate goal was to get the point fund money in the hands of the competitors as soon as possible and so the teams could avoid the cost of attending the banquet. "Being a low to no budget team, I fully understand what URC is trying to do and I support anything that can save all the teams money in this economy. However, any team that works hard enough all year to win the very tough championship, would be a little disappointed that they could not celebrate their accomplishment," added Aikin.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series for 2012 is set to open at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, April 14.

RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES GEARS UP FOR 2012 SEASON

The 65th season of the United Racing Company is quickly approaching with the calendar changing to 2012.

Returning as the URC Tour Sponsor will be Rislone, a long time supporter of this popular 360 sprint car group in the Northeast. URC competitors will chase several lucrative payoffs that include the $3,000 to win Bar's Leaks National to take place at the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, July 7 along with the $5,000 to win Rislone Nationals set for the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 3rd. The season finale and final point race of the year will again take place at the Grandview Speedway with the 25 lap Pioneer Pole Buildings $3,000 to win feature. Several other increased paying events are currently in the planning stages as well.

Rookie interest is certainly high heading into 2012 with new talent like David Swanson, brother of Jonathan Swanson. Don Mazy, Chris Glenden and Delaware modified driver Steve Downs are all looking at the prestigious URC Rookie of the Year honors.

The Rislone URC schedule currently has race dates at the Delaware International Speedway, Williams Grove, New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Port Royal and Selinsgrove Speedway with dates being discussed at the Lincoln Speedway and several other tracks.

URC is offering very attractive tire pricing 2012, thanks to American Racer and a portion of the Rislone sponsorship contribution. A right rear tire will sell for $159, the left rear tires are $155 and $138 for front tires. The support of the Rislone funds towards the attractive tire pricing is designed to keep race teams "racing" all season long.

A new twist in 2012 for URC is instituting the Delaware Start on a weekly basis. All original starts and all restarts up to, two laps to go will offer the Delaware Start, where the pole car sits along in the first row and all other cars are double-file. The restarts should certainly be more exciting and offer more late race passes and thrilling feature finishes.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will be present at the 2012 Motorsports Race Car &Trade Show in Oaks, PA January 20,21 and 22. Look for the large Rislone bottle and you'll find the URC booth along with the showcased sprint cars of Robbie Stillwaggon and Ed Aikin. In 2012, Stillwaggon and Aikin are expected to be strong contenders for the series championship and both already have their eye on the high paying events. Aikin won the PBB race at the season finale at Grandview with Robbie Stillwaggon scoring an impressive second place finish after his late race charge.

URC LOOKS TO 2012 AND BEYOND,

AMERICAN RACER TIRE RETURNS TO URC WITH GREAT PRICING, RULES TWEAKED, SCHEDULING UNDERWAY AND URC HALL OF FAME ENTIRES ANNOUNCED

Plans for the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series are well underway and a big announcement includes the return of American Racer as the official tire of URC. Some great pricing is being offered with URC using a portion of their sponsorship revenue to offset the tire cost. URC Managing Member John Zimmerman worked out the tire prices for 2012 which includes $159 for right rears, $155 for left rears and $138 for all front tires. "By using URC sponsorship revenue to offset the tire pricing, all teams will benefit all season long, and at a time when the car owners will benefit and offset the nightly cost, commented Zimmerman. During the second half of the 2011 URC season, Managing Member Cher Zimmerman spent time with each URC team to gather suggestions on possible cost savings in reference to car specifications. After much review and discussion, the following changes were decided.

2012:

No Wickerbill on the top wing

2013:

Flat top wing
2% tolerance on 360 displacement
1,500 lb weight rule
additional changes to be considered

Managing Member Bob Miller is already working on the 2012 schedule of events that includes two visits to both Big Diamond and Port Royal. URC is planning events at the Delaware International Speedway along with Bridgeport, Georgetown, New Egypt, Grandview Lincoln, Williams Grove, Selinsgrove, Black Rock and the Rolling Wheels Raceway. There is consideration of some possible non-wing events as well. A new twist in 2011 for URC is instituting the Delaware Start on a weekly basis. All original starts and all restarts up to, two laps to go will offer the Delaware Start where the pole car sits along in the first row and all other cars are double-file. The reason for this change is to promote more passing and to provide drivers who start deep in the pack the opportunity to advance to the front with exciting finishes to be the outcome. Numerous special and higher paying events will again be part of the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series schedule of events.

In 2010, the United Racing Company formed the URC Hall of Fame and in 2011, we are pleased to add the following dignitary's to list of all time greats that have contributed to the success of URC. The inductees for 2011 include Dave Kelly, Buck Buckley, Bert Brooks, Scats Anfuso, Louie Kunz and Buzz Rose.

Plan to see the United Racing Company at many of the off season car and trade show events. Visit our website for all the latest updates. www.urcsprints.com

ED AIKIN POCKETS $4,000 FOR PPB/VIPER-VENOM URC FEATURE WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW. . .
CURT MICHAEL SECURES EIGHTH URC CHAMPIONSHP, URC DISTRIBUTRES $57,400 IN CASH PLUS $15,000 IN CONTINGENCY AWARDS FOR SEASON LONG EFFORTS

The Rislone URC Sprints were part of a big season finale event Saturday night at the Grandview Speedway, taking part in the Grandview Thunder 5-25's. The final race of URC's 2011 offer an increased payoff thanks to the sponsorship support for Pioneer Pole Buildings (PPB) and Viper-Venom. The top twenty URC drivers in points were eligible for the URC feature only with the top twelve in points inverted. At the end of a thrilling twenty-five lap feature, Ed Aikin who started on the pole captured the feature win worth $4,000. In the season long Rislone URC point chase, it was Ocean View, DE driver Curt Michael securing his eighth championship. Michael started eleventh in the main event and avoided any potential landmines to finish ninth and nail down the coveted URC title.

The PPB/Viper Venom feature was also part of the Valley Forge Inc Pennsylvania Sprint Series and at the drop of the green flag, of the twenty-five lap feature it was Ed Aikin who took the lead with Dave Ely in second and challenging. Aikin could not get away from Ely and on lap five, Ely became the new leader. Aikin refused to give up and challenged for the lead once again. On lap ten, Aikin took back the lead but Ely was not going to close the books on this race.

At the halfway mark, Aikin, Ely and Robbie Stillwaggon were the top three with Rory Janney and Josh Weller in the top five. Ely reeled in Aikin once again and on lap twenty-two, it was two car race. The first and only caution of the race was displayed on lap twenty-three when Jeff Fifthian spun in two one. On the restart and with just two laps remaining, Ely gave it all he had going into turn one and as the two charged out of turn two, Ed Aikin nosed ahead. Suddenly, Robbie Stillwaggon moved into the picture and he was challenging Ely for second.

With the checker flag waiving, Aikin took the URC win sponsored by Pioneer Pole Building. A near dead heat finish saw Robbie Stillwaggon earn second with Dave Ely third, Rory Janney was fourth and JJ Grasso fifth.

For Curt Michael it was his eighth URC championship and for car owner Billy Gallagher, it marked his third URC Owner Championship. For Gallagher of Valley Forge, it was very rewarding to clinch the title before a local crowed.

Aikin earned in total $4,050 for the win, collecting a $1,000 bonus from Paul Messick of Viper-Venom Racing Fuels and additional $50 for the LikeWise fast time award. JJ Grasso was the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger of the race advancing seven spots. Grasso was the only driver within striking distance of offering Curt Michael a challenge for the title but came up short even after a strong twelfth to fifth run in the URC feature Saturday night. Grasso missed one race over the course of the URC season.

CURT MICHAEL INCHES CLOSER TO EIGHTH URC CHAMPIONSHIP, SCORES SECOND WIN OF 2011 SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL

With just one point race remaining on the Rislone URC Sprint Series, Curt Michael has his eye on an eighth Championship and Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway, he scored his second win of the season and again padded his point lead. Michael of Ocean View, DE started third in the twenty-five lap feature event and took the lead from Joey Biasi on lap two. Once on top and despite numerous cautions, Michael easily took the win and collected the $2,000 first place prize driving the Valley Forge INC Bill Gallagher owned sprint car. This event also marked the final race of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series

URC heat race winners were JJ Grasso, Tim Hogue and Joey Biasi. During the running of the third heat, Biasi set the LikeWise fast time of the night. In the second heat race, Kramer Williamson and Randy West tangled with Williamson taking a wild flip in turn two. Williamson not on walked away uninjured, he returned to start the feature in the last position and rallied to an impressive tenth place finish. Williamson earned the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger of the night award for advancing twelve spots in the feature.

At the start of the twenty-five lap URC Rislone sprint feature, Joey Biasi led the first lap with Curt Michael immediately in the chase. The first of several cautions was displayed for Jimmy Stitzel who spun. The restart saw Kevin Darling and JR Berry tangled in turn two and the caution was again displayed . On the restart, Jimmy Stitzel spun collecting Midge Miller who took a slow roll in turn two. All drivers walked away uninjured.

Racing resumed on lap three and Curt Michael was on the point with Biasi in the chase. Ed Aikin and Josh Weller were now chasing Biasi for the runner-up spot. On lap eight, Weller driving the Palladino #99 passed Aikin for third and quickly began to reel in Biasi.

On lap eleven, the yellow was displayed for debris and the big lead built up by Curt Michael was now erased. At the drop of the green flag, Michael ran to hide from the field as Weller made the move to take over second.

Lapped cars could now be a factor as they were in front of the leader by lap nineteen. Weller started to gain ground on Michael as Grasso was reeling in Weller. EXPECT JJ MANIA WHEN RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES INVADES NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 24

It's all about JJ!

The always exciting JJ Grasso, well known as the "Jersey Jet" is red hot in the sprint car racing circles. Grasso upset a talented field of nationally known sprint car drivers, winning the first ever JERSEY RUSH at the New Egypt Speedway on August 30. Grasso then invaded the Georgetown Speedway to win his fourth Rislone URC feature of the season. This time, Grasso started seventeenth and took the lead with just two laps to go to win the feature. On Saturday night, September 24, JJ MANIA will be the buzz at New Egypt Speedway and race fans can get in on the action.

Race fans are encouraged to take part in JJ MANIA at New Egypt Speedway by bringing a sign or banner to cheer on JJ Grasso. The designer of the best sign or banner will earn a $50 gas card, so race fans, get busy now to make your JJ Mania sign or banner. Grasso is a show at any speedway, but there is something about New Egypt Speedway that just takes him right to the edge, and the fans love it.

With just three point races remaining on the Rislone URC Sprint Series, Grasso is just sixty-five points out of the point lead and he has his eye on the championship. For Grasso to win the title, he'll have to take it away from the master of URC titles, seven tine champion Curt Michael. Grasso owns four URC wins this season along with his $5,000 sprint car victory at New Egypt in August.

CURT MICHAEL LEADS RISLONE URC POINT CHASE WITH THREE EVENTS REMAINING IN 2011

The 2011 RISLONE URC point chase is building for another exciting finish. With just three point races remaining, seven time URC Champion Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE is in chase of his eight championship title. Michael leads the title chase by sixty-five points over JJ Grasso. Riding in third is Josh Weller, just one-hundred and sixteen points behind Grasso. Randy West and Robbie Stillwaggon round out the top five in points and are both enjoying one of their best seasons yet. West is a two time winner with URC this season as Stillwaggon is chasing his first win of 2011.

Michael has established himself as one of the smartest point racers in the history of URC, and that is proven since he owns seven titles. In the point chase this season, Curt Michael as one win, that victory coming at the Lincoln Speedway. Grasso's consistency may not be as solid, but he makes up for it with four wins on the season, coming off a thrilling victory Sunday night at the Georgetown Speedway where he started seventeenth and took the lead on the white flag lap, in a feature that only had one caution flag. Grasso also missed the URC Big Diamond race when he and his then car owner, parted ways. Grasso quickly worked at putting together his family owned low budget sprinter and returned to the battles of URC.

The Rislone URC sprints will next be in action on Saturday night, September 24 at the New Egypt Speedway, a favorite track of Grasso. In fact, on Tuesday night, August 30, in just his second ride in a 410 sprint car, Grasso scored the biggest win of his career, earning $5,000 for the victory. Grasso led a star-filled field with Mark Smith, Daryn Pittman, Lance Dewease and Fred Rahmer following in the top five.

After the New Egypt URC event, the traveling 360 sprints will return to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, October 1 for the final race of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. The final point race for URC will take place at the Grandview Speedway when Pioneer Pole Buildings present the $3,000 to win season finale on Saturday night, October 15th. This will be a features only event, with the top twenty in points invited for the season close out-shoot out.

Fourteen different drivers have shared the twenty event victories that were up for grabs this season. Grasso leads all drivers with four wins followed by Daryn Pittman, Dave Ely and Randy West, all two time winners. Drivers with one win this season include Ed Aikin, Lance Dewease, Chuck Hebing, Steve Poirier, Curt Michael, Josh Weller, Davey Franek, Mark Smith, Shane Stewart and Kramer Williamson.

Outside of the top five in points is Kramer Williamson who has one win. When mechanical problems are not hindering him, he remains a contender to win. Enjoying one of his best seasons is Medford, NJ driver Tim Hogue. On Sunday night at Georgetown, Hogue was right in the thick of the mix, challenging Josh Weller for the lead within the final five laps of the checker flag. It was one of the most impressive drivers in the driving career of Hogue and he stands a strong shot at winning one of the final three events of the season.

Andy Best of Dover, DE has really turned up the heat this season. Best has one career with URC and has not visited the URC victory lane in 2011, but he's a contender at every race. Art Liedl of Flemington, NJ is ninth in points and is enjoying a successful season, running with the best of URC each week. Liedl is looking for his first career with URC and has his eye on the season finale PPB event at Grandview Speedway. Tenth in points is Dave Ely from West Lawn, PA. Ely has two URC wins this season and thirteen career wins under the URC banner. Ely is extremely fast this year and has delivered strong runs at the URC events at Williams Grove .

It all comes down and will be decided at the last three point race events, taking place in three different states (New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania).

TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE SPRINT SERIES DELIVERS THRILLER. . . . . .
JJ GRASSO UNBELIEVABLE. . . . .FROM SEVENTENTH TO FIRST WITH JUST ONE CAUTION, SCORES FOURTH RISLONE SPRINT SERIES WIN SUNDAY NIGHT AT GEORGETOWN

Unbelievable.

That one word pretty much tells the story of the Rislone URC Sprint Series race Sunday night at the Georgetown Speedway. JJ Grasso lived up to his name the "Jersey Jet" and thrilled hundreds of race fans by starting seventeenth and winning the 25 lap feature event. The race had just one caution flag, that came out on lap seventeen when race leader Joey Biasi blew a tire and stopped in turn one. Grasso was third on the restart , then caught Tim Hogue for second on lap twenty-one. With the white flag waiving, Grasso passed Josh Weller for the lead and went on to score his fourth URC win of the season. The fans went absolutely wild. Just several weeks back, Grasso lost the ride in the potent Palladino #99 and quickly pieced together his family owned car to sustain his second place ranking in the URC season long point chase.

URC heat race events were won by Joey Biasi, Denny Garl and Josh Weller. The LikeWise fast time of the night was set by Biasi during the running of the first heat race.

In the twenty-five lap feature event on Taylor & Messick Night at Georgetown Speedway, Joey Biasi and Denny Garl made-up the front row and at the drop of the green flag, Biasi blasted to the lead. Josh Weller, moved into second with Eddie Wagner in third and Tim Hogue fourth. Biasi maintained a solid lead with Weller holding down second. On lap ten, Tim Hogue moved into third and at the same time, front wing damage was noticeable on the Weller sprint car.

JJ Grasso who started seventeenth was now in the top five, blasting his way through traffic on a mission. At the halfway point of the race, Biasi was the leader with Weller second followed by Tim Hogue, Grasso and Eddie Wagner.

The leader was now approaching slower traffic and Weller and Hogue were closing in on the leaders as Grasso was chasing down all the front runners.

The turning point of the race came on lap seventeen when a right rear tire blew on the Biasi sprint car, displaying the yellow flag. It was an unfortunate turn of events for Biasi who had a great run well in hand.

On the restart, Weller had the pole with Tim Hogue and Grasso making up the top three. Curt Michael, who started ninth was now running in fourth. With the drop of the green flag, Weller took off but it was Tim Hogue who found a burst of power and challenged Weller for the lead on the long run down the backstretch. Grasso was watching it all unfold and actually gave-up a few car lengths to the leaders.

Grasso turned up the heat and began to reel in the leaders once again and suddenly, it was a three car race for the lead. On lap twenty-one, Grasso made the pass on Hogue for second and began the task of reeling in his former ride, with Josh Weller at the wheel.

With two laps to go, Weller now had Grasso on his bumper and down the backstretch, Grasso made the pass for the lead. Weller challenged back entering turn three but Grasso held the advantage out of turn four to take the white flag. Grasso was not contested the final lap and the storybook finish was a reality for JJ Grasso. Weller finished second with Tim Hogue scoring a strong third with Curt Michael fourth and rookie driver Troy Betts scoring a career high fifth place finish.

After the checker flag, Betts and Randy West tangled on the backstretch with Betts flipping. There were no injuries in the post checker flag crash.

FEATURE FINISH: JJ Grasso, Josh Weller, Tim Hogue, Curt Michael, Troy Betts, Randy West, Eddie Wagner, Ed Aikin, Andy Best, Art Liedl, Joe Zuczek, Robbie Stillwaggon, Dave Martin, Chris Glanden, Joey Biasi, Jeff Fifthian, Steve Downs, Ryan Stillwaggon, Denny Garl, Gary Gollub, Mike Kostic

On the restart, Aikin, Stillwaggon, Weller, Best and JJ Grasso made up the top five with Curt Michael on a charge to the front. By lap twenty-one, Curt Michael was now in the top five. One lap later, the final caution flag of the race was displayed, this time for Troy Betts who spun in turn four..

The restart set-up a three lap run to the checker flag and Aikin was up to the challenge with Stillwaggon and Weller in the chase. VALLEY FORGE INC NIGHT. . . . . . . . .
DARYN PITTMAN LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE TO WIN RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES CHALLENGE AT WILLIAMS GROVE

Daryn Pittman of Owasso, OK won the 25 lap Rislone URC Sprint Series feature on Valley Forge INC Night at the Williams Grove Speedway Friday night. Pittman earned the pole starting position thanks to the passing points format. After starting twelfth in his heat, Pittman finished fourth, earning the most points in qualifying, thus earning the pole starting position in the feature event. Pittman led every lap of the feature but the battle of the race was for second as Chad Layton and Pat Cannon ran side-by-side for most of the race.

At the drop of the green flag in the Valley Forge INC feature event, Daryn Pittman immediately established himself as the man to beat, setting a blistering pace. Chad Layton and Pat Cannon quickly locked into a strong battle for second, swapping the runner-up spot numerous times during the race. Aaron Ott was on a charge to the front, racing in the top five by lap eight.

Up to the halfway point, the race remained caution-free and the top five were Pittman, Cannon, Layton, Dave Ely and Ott. The leaders were now reaching lapped traffic and the top three were racing under a blanket.

On lap nineteen, the smoking sprint car of Aaron Ott slowed on the backstretch and the first and only caution of the race was displayed.

On the restart, Pittman continued to set the pace and the thrilling battle for second continued between Layton and Cannon.

Lance Dewease, driving the Scott McClaren sprint car was on a charge to the front and was now racing in fifth with just five laps remaining.

With the checker flag waiving, Pittman took the win with Layton second, Pat Cannon third, Dave Ely fourth and Dewease fifth.

Another $7,500 will be paid out to eligible car owners at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, October 1st. With the challenging times for all race teams, especially from a travel perspective, URC's tour sponsor and the United Racing Company are proud to off the RISLONE Loyalty Reward Program. In total, $15,000 in cash will be paid out to loyal URC Car Owners in the second half of the Rislone URC Sprint Series of 2011.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will return to the famed Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 26 in a challenge event with the 358 sprints. A draw will be used to determine heat race starting positions and passing points in the heat races will determine the starting line-up for the feature. URC EYES CHANGES TO HELP COMPETITORS IN 2011 AND BEYOND

URC car owners received their first taste of the RISLONE Loyalty Reward Program as checks were written to eligible owners before the rains fell at Selinsgrove Speedway, Saturday evening. Those eligible owners not making it to Selinsgrove will receive their checks in the mail early this week. Eighteen URC car owners were eligible for the reward program with their attendance record over the last six weeks, and those car owners split a total of $7500.00 in bonus money. URC now offers another $7500.00 bonus for those owners attending five of the next six races on the URC schedule, and that bonus will be paid on October 1st at Delaware Int’l Speedway.

The RISLONE Loyalty Reward Program was well received by URC race teams and is only one of the ways URC is attempting to help their race teams through these very challenging economic times. URC is actively soliciting input from their car owners for ways to help racers to compete in more of the scheduled Rislone URC Sprint Series events. A field of 30 URC sprints turned out along with a banner crowd at Big Diamond Raceway on Friday night, and the anticipated field at URC’s rained out show at Selinsgrove on Saturday was in the mid-thirties. “Though we are encouraged by the good car count this past weekend,” Bob Miller comments, “we realize the need to take a proactive approach by helping our teams from a financial perspective.”

The work goes on.

URC announced a handicapping change this weekend; a change made to entice the rising number of part-time racers within the organization. Cars will still be handicapped off their point average, and an owner only needs 3 URC appearances to earn a point average for the season. The major change occurs with dropping the requirement to attend 3 of the last 5 races to earn their handicapped position in the heat races. There is only a one race penalty now for missing a URC race, and by the next race, that car rolls right back into the URC handicapping system, provided they had three appearances during the season to earn an average. This change will also benefit full-time teams that encounter a major problem, such as an engine problem or an injury, which may drop them from the old 3 out of 5 system.

Numerous discussions with URC car owners have netted many ideas now being considered by the Zimmerman's and Millers. One such idea has already been adopted in changing the handicapping system for URC’s biggest event, the URC Rislone Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway. Time trials, not a favorite event for fans or track promoters, will be dropped and replaced by URC’s regular handicapping system for the Rislone Nationals. In addition, all URC car spec rules will be enforced to include the American Racer on both the right and left rear points.

“We are working on a major announcement regarding a second URC National event in 2012,” stated Cher Zimmerman. “This will be a track URC racers regard as one of their own, which will be run under the regular URC format and handicapping system.”

In another positive decision, URC has decided to take a “hiatus” from their annual URC banquet, and instead, payout the remainder of the $60,000 point fund at the season finale Pioneer Pole Building event at Grandview Speedway on October 15th, where the 2011 URC Champions will be crowned. “Though it was a tough decision to walk away from what the racing fraternity deemed one of the most elite banquets in racing, this will get the point fund money into the hands of our car owners earlier, and eliminate the cost of buying banquet tickets and hotel rooms,” John Zimmerman commented. “URC feels this decision will help teams retain their lucrative point fund earnings for their 2012 URC racing efforts.

URC is not permanently ending their banquet, just taking a year off, and URC will re-evaluate evolving economic climates next year.”
John and Cheryl Zimmerman and Bob Miller have been taking a very serious approach regarding the impact the economy has taken on our very valuable car owners. “Although URC remains strong and healthy” Bob Miller adds, “we need to get ahead of the challenges and threats we face by offering help and relief in a variety of ways to our competitors.”

URC is contemplating a variety of tweaks for 2012 that will prove their true intent of working to control costs of 360 sprint car racing.

CURT MICHAEL RETURNS TO THE TOP OF THE RISLONE URC POINT CHASE

It's a position he knows well. Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE is a seven time champion on the Rislone URC Sprint Series point chase and following a solid second place finish on Friday night at the Big Diamond Raceway, he now leads the 2011 run for the title. Over the past five weeks, Curt Michael driving the Valley Forge INC 5G was wearing down the point lead established by JJ Grasso and going into Big Diamond, the difference between first and second was less than one-hundred points.

Although Michael delivered a solid run at Big Diamond, the turning point of the night, and possibly the point chase was that fact the Palladino Motorsports #99 remained in the trailer the entire night. That car, driven by then point leader JJ Grasso, was not going to compete in the Big Diamond event. All the facts around what may have happened may be unclear, but when the car was scratched from the heat race, the reason given was that the driver did not arrive at the track on time. The future of this team remains in question.

One thing for sure, Curt Michael knows how to win URC championships so regaining the lead in the title chase may be a huge battle. Seven point race events still remain on the Rislone URC Sprint Series so anything can happen.

URC will next be in action on Friday, August 26 at the Williams Grove Speedway in a challenge race with the 358 sprints. The following night, Saturday, August 27 URC will make a visit to the Port Royal Speedway, the first visit to this track by URC since 1967. This event will be open to 358 sprints to compete.

Following Michael and Grasso in the point chase is Randy West of Boyertown, PA. West drives the Fred Kennedy owned sprinter with Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA fourth in points. Robbie Stillwaggon rounds out the top five in the Rislone URC Sprint Series point standings.

SATURDAY RAIN ADJUSTS RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES NEXT WEEKEND

The rain on Saturday forced the cancellation of the Rislone URC Sprint Series event Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway.

The Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA also fell victim to the rainy weather, forcing the cancellation of their Annual Forrest Rogers Memorial 358 NASCAR Modified event, paying $10,000. As a result of the Grandview rain out, the prestigious Forrest Rogers Memorial will be re-scheduled for Saturday night, August 20 and the Rislone URC Sprint Series event will be moved off that date. At this time, a workable date for both Grandview Speedway and the United Racing Company is not available.

The URC sprints are scheduled to be at Grandview on Saturday night, October 15 as part of the NAPA Auto Parts House of Thunder Halloween Party Grandview Thunder 5-25's. Rain checks from the URC rained out event at Grandview will be honored on October 15.

The Rislone URC Sprints will next be in action at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 26 taking part in a challenge race with the 358 sprints. The following night, Saturday, August 27, URC will make a long awaited return to the Port Royal Speedway. This event is open to 358 sprints as well.

VALLEY FORGE INC SPRINT SERIES INVADES BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY
DAVE ELY HOLDS OFF A DETERMINED CURT MICHAEL FOR SECOND RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES FEATURE WIN OF 2011

Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA won the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint Series feature event on Friday night at the Big Diamond Raceway. It was Valley Forge INC Night and in the feature event, Dave Ely took the lead on lap three from Tim Hogue then held off a late race charge from seven time URC champion Curt Michael. A late race caution brought Michael to the rear bumper of the Dave Ely sprinter with just six laps remaining. Michael of Ocean View, DE remained within striking distance of the leader but ran short of time to make a challenge for the win.

A field of thirty URC sprints took part in the program with heat race wins going to Tim Hogue, Dave Ely and Art Liedl as Jimmy Stitzel won the "B" Main.

In the twenty-five lap feature, Tim Hogue jumped to the early lead and set the pace for the first two laps. The caution was displayed before the completion of lap three for Robbie Stillwaggon and Joe Zuczek who tangled in turn three. On the restart, Dave Ely took the lead followed by Art Liedl. Curt Michael made the move of the race on lap three, advancing at least six spots and now racing in third.

At the halfway point of the race, Ely had a comfortable lead over Curt Michael, Art Liedl, Tim Hogue and Jonathan Swanson. Dave Martin brought out the yellow flag on lap fifteen when he spun exiting the track in turn one. As the laps ticked by, Ely was slicing his way through lapped traffic with Curt Michael in the hunt and closing.

A wild crash on lap nineteen brought out the red flag for Jonathan Swanson who was running in the top five. Swanson took a series of wild flips offer the backstretch and into the infield. Swanson walked away uninjured but his car received extensive damage.

The restart saw Ely and Curt Michael nose to tail as the green flag fell;. With each lap, Michael worked multiple grooves to find the fastest lane but Ely was dialed into perfection. This win was going to Dave Ely with Curt Michael a solid second followed by Art Liedl, Josh Weller and Tim Hogue.

For Dewease. it was his fourth career URC sprint series win and was certainly one of his most impressive rides with URC. Dewease took the lead on lap six from Aaron Ott and was never challenged after that point, surviving several caution flags throughout the race.

Thirty-eight sprint cars took part in the program with Dewease setting the LikeWise fast time of the night in time trials. Heat race winners include Lance Dewease, Kevin Nouse, Jason Clauss and JJ Grasso as Pat Cannon won the "B" main.

Jason Clauss came to a stop on lap four displaying the yellow flag. On the restart, Ott and Dewease returned to their battle, opening a comfortable distance over the rest of the top five that included Michael, Kramer Williamson and Dave Ely. On lap six, Dewease used the outside lane and passed Ott for the lead.

At the halfway point, the yellow flag was displayed for Dave Ely who stopped in turn two when the rear went out on his sprinter. On the restart, Dewease was again the man in control with Ott second and a high and flying Mark Smith was racing in third. By lap sixteen, Chad Layton was your fourth place runner, trying to reel in the top three.

Passing was plentiful on the multi-grove surface and all eyes were on Pat Cannon who was the "B" Main winner and racing in the top ten with just five laps remaining.

Dewease took the checker flag with Aaron Ott second, Mark Smith third, Chad Layton fourth and Curt Michael fifth. Making up the top ten were Pat Cannon (the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger of the night), Kramer Williamson, Kevin Nouse, Blane Heimbach, Justin Barger.

$5,000 TO WIN RISLONE URC SPRINT NATIONALS FRIDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 5TH AT WILLIAMS GROVE

A hefty $5,000 first place prize will be up for grabs as some of the best sprint car drivers in the country gather Friday night, August 5 for the 6th Annual Rislone URC 360 Sprint Nationals at the Williams Grove Speedway. This event is without a doubt, the richest single night payoff of the season for the URC 360 sprints. Not only are the drivers shooting for the $5,000 winner's share, the 25 lap event will pay $1,000 for tenth and $325 just to take the green flag. Race time is set for 7 PM at the historic Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Past winners of this prestigious event include Daryn Pittman in 2010, Aaron Ott in 2009, Kenny Adams in 2008, Ed Aikin in 2008 and Pat Cannon won the very first Rislone Sprint Nationals. Ironically, the competition is so keen that no driver has been able to win this event twice.

Drivers chasing this lucrative triumph include JJ Grasso a three time winner this year along with Randy West who has a pair of wins. Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson, Robbie Stillwaggon, Dave Ely, Josh Weller and Andy Best will be looking for their first Rislone win as will Mark Smith, Blane Heimbach and others.

Special thanks to Rislone for making this event as big as it is. The involvement of Rislone has also offset the need for a pre-entry fee for the competitors. Along with the popular 360 sprints, the 358 sprints are also invited to compete in the 6th Annual Rislone Nationals.

All the details for this event are located on the URC website at www.urcsprints.com.  Please go to the Competitors Page and click on 2011 National Sprint Payoff for all the details to include car specifications, tire rule, handicapping and the complete payoff.

The following night, Saturday, April 6th, the Rislone URC Sprint Series will head t "the big track", Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, NJ. Without a doubt, Bridgeport Speedway is the biggest and possibly the fastest track on the URC tour. This is super URC weekend of money, speed and media.

RANDY WEST SCORES SECOND RISLONE URC WIN OF 2011, LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE ON TAYLOR & MESSICK NIGHT SATURDAY AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL

Randy West of Boyertown, PA was the class of the field on Taylor & Messick Night Saturday at the Delaware International Speedway, winning the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint feature event. West won his heat race and earned him the pole position in the main event. Seven time URC Champion Curt Michael won the second heat and started outside pole. Randy West, driving the Fred Kennedy owned sprinter ran to hide from the rest of the field and was never challenged in the feature that ran off non-stop. West earned $2,000 for the win, his second of the season and fifth career.

West and Curt Michael made-up the front row in the feature event and at the drop of the green flag, West immediately took control and established himself as the man the beat. Curt Michael maintained the second position and Kramer Williamson and Tim Hogue battled for third with Williamson earning the spot on lap five. At the front of the pack, West was quickly putting some distance between himself, Michael and Williamson. By lap ten, Robbie Stillwaggon was racing in fourth and at the same time, "the Wild Child" Josh Weller was also heading to the front of the pack.

At the halfway point of the race, West had pretty much checked out, driving through the lapped traffic flawlessly. Michael followed in second with Williamson third, Stillwaggon fourth and Tim Hogue making a strong run in fifth.

The race continued non-stop and West extended his lead with each lap. Josh Weller broke into the top five on lap nineteen and began to reel in the leaders. "THE RUSH" 410 Sprints & Modifieds at New Egypt Speedway

"THE RUSH" IS COMING TO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY TUESDAY, AUGUST 30

One of the most anticipated events of the 2011 Northeast dirt track racing season is. . ."THE RUSH" coming to the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ on Tuesday night, August 30. "THE RUSH" will showcase the powerful 410 sprints cars joined in a doubleheader program to include the modifieds. It's "double trouble" as these two premier divisions will complete in a series of qualifying leading up to a pair of 30 lap feature events. In the event of rain, Wednesday night, August 31 will be the rain date. The 410 sprints seldom visit the state of New Jersey and were last at New Egypt on May 20, 2007 when Steve Kinser was the winner.

New Egypt Speedway has presented 410 sprint cars on six occasions with Kinser winning in 2007, Donny Schatz was the winner in 2003 and again in 2001. PJ Chesson won a 410 sprint event in 2002, Tyler Walker was the winner in 2000 and Billy Pauch won the initial first ever 410 sprint show at the New Egypt Speedway in 1999.

Interest is high and the word in buzzing about "THE RUSH" coming to New Egypt on Tuesday night, August 30. The 30 lap feature will pay $4,000 to the winner and a $1,000 bonus is offered if the driver is pre-entered. So a $5,000 payday could go to the winner. Tyler Walker, a previous winner at New Egypt and recent winner of the Kings Royal was the first pre-entered driver. Other pre-entries include Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease, Justin Henderson, Rick Lafferty, Frank Cozze, Ryan Taylor, Davey Sammons, Robbie Stillwaggon, Mark Bitner with plenty more entries still to come.

Barger and Grasso were still in a battle for third with Barger holding the advantage.

Valley Forge INC presents:
CURT MICHAEL LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE FOR FIRST RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES WIN OF 2011 SATURDAY NIGHT AT LINCOLN SPEEDWAY

Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE scored his first Rislone URC Sprint Series feature win Saturday night at the Lincoln Speedway on Valley Forge INC Night. Michael, the seven time URC champion started outside the front row and led the entire twenty-five lap feature event. For Michael, this victory marked his forty-fifth career win under the URC banner.

Ed Aikin of Lincoln University, PA set fast time in time trials earning the LikeWise Fast Time bonus. URC heat race events were won by JJ Grasso, Curt Michael and Josh Weller.

Rory Janney and Curt Michael made up the front row to start the feature with Curt Michael taking the lead at the immediate drop of the green flag. Michael established a solid lead as Jenny was left to battle with Dave Ely. On lap three, Ely moved into second and took his shot at chasing down the leader. Jenny continued to fight back and on lap seven, he regained the second spot dropping Ely to third.

The race ran caution free at the halfway point it was still Curt Michael, Rory Janney, Dave Ely, Kevin Nagy and Ed Aikin making up the top five. By lap eighteen, Michael was coming up on slower traffic and Jenny started to reel in the leader. Third place runner Dave Ely was also catching the leaders. With just five laps remaining, Curt Michael clearly had his hands full with lapped traffic and the top three were now nose to tail.

Second place runner Rory Janney stayed right on the rear bumper of Michael, waiting for the leader to bobble, but it never happened. Curt Michael took the win just two car lengths ahead of runner-up Rory Janney who scored his best URC career feature finish with a second. JJ GRASSO DOMINATES URC FIELD FOR THIRD WIN OF 2011 SATURDAY NIGHT AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

BRIDGEPORT, NJ . . . . The "Jersey Jet" JJ Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ was the star of the show on Saturday night at the Bridgeport Speedway, winning the twenty-five lap Rislone URC sprint feature on Fred's Trailer Parts Night. Grasso earned $2,000 for the win, his third URC victory of the season and nineteenth career win. In the twenty-five lap feature, Grasso powered his Palladino Motorsports/BK Leasing #99 to the front of the pack on lap three and never had a challenge to the drop of the checker flag.

URC heat race events were won by Grasso, Ed Aikin and Chris Coyle (driving the Dave Betts sprinter) as Art Liedl was the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger, advancing thirteen spots in the feature event. JJ Grasso set the LikeWise Fast Time of the night .

In the feature event, Rory Janney set the pace for the first two laps with JJ Grasso taking the lead on lap three. Jonathan Swanson and Dave Ely tangled in turn one on lap four displaying the caution. On the restart, third and fourth place runners Randy West and Robbie Stillwaggon tangled in turn four with West flipping. Both drivers walked away uninjured but unable to continue in the feature. On the next attempt to restart the race, Ed Aikin stopped in turn two bringing out still another caution.

The story of the race at this point was Dave Ely who caught a break after being involved in an earlier mix-up. Ely rejoined the field at the back of the pack on lap four.

When green flag racing resumed, Grasso was the leader with defending champion Curt Michael on the move followed by Rory Janney and Josh Weller. Grasso dominated the race, quickly establishing solid control of the event. At the halfway mark Grasso had solid control of the lead followed by Michael, Weller, Janney and Mark Bitner.

On lap fourteen, engine problems sent the Curt Michael sprinter to the infield with Josh Weller advancing to second. By lap seventeen, Dave Ely (after restarting last on lap four) moved into the top five. With just five laps to go, Grasso held solid command of the lead with Weller and Ely hot in the chase. The race was now for second and on the white flag lap, Ely took over the runner-up spot.

Grasso easily took the win over Dave Ely, Josh Weller, Rory Janney and Mark Bitner.

FEATURE FINISH: JJ Grasso, Dave Ely, Josh Weller, Rory Janney, Mark Bitner, Andy Best, Jason Clauss, Troy Betts, Art Liedl, Ryan Maisenhalter, Tim Hogue, Jimmy Stitzel, Dave Martin, Jeff Fifthian, Curt Michael, Chris Coyle, Ed Aikin, Robbie Stillwaggon, Randy West, Jonathan Swanson, Kevin Nagy DNS Kramer Williamson, Chris Weiss Dave Martin

FRED'S TRAILER PARTS NIGHT SPRINT SERIES CONTINUES AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY
JOSH WELLER & CURT MICHAEL THRILL LARGE CROWD IN RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES FEATURE EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT

Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA led all twenty-five laps of the Saturday night Rislone URC Sprint Series event, but he certainly had his hands full as seven time URC Champion Curt Michael was all over the leader in the final laps. For Weller, it was his first URC win of the season and fourth career victory. Weller is URC's ninth different feature winner in ten races so far this year. A caution flag on lap twenty-three and again on lap twenty-four made for an exciting finish as Michael took several shots at the leader. Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA was running third and staged repeated battles with Michael for the runner-up spot. Weller took the win and earned $2,000 for the win.

Heat race events were won by Josh Weller, Mark Bitner and Art Liedl. A field of twenty-four URC sprint cars took the green flag in the twenty-five lap feature.

Josh Weller started outside pole and quickly established himself as the man to beat. Mark Bitner, returning after a violent URC sprint car flip the night before at the Georgetown, was running a strong second with JJ Grasso third. Curt Michael began to reel in the leaders racing in fourth on lap thirteen. One circuit later, Curt Michael and his Valley Forge INC sprint car were third.

The first caution of the race came on lap sixteen with a tangle between Dave Martin and Jimmy Stitzel.

On the restart, Curt Michael moved into second and chased down Weller, in the mean time, Dave Ely was in third with Davey Sammons charging in grand style on his way to the front.

With five laps remaining the top five included Weller, Michael, Ely, Bitner and Grasso.

As the field completed lap twenty-four, the caution was displayed for Rory Janney. This allowed Curt Michael and Dave Ely a better look at the Weller sprint car as they set-up for a two lap dash to victory lane. On lap twenty-four, the caution was displayed again, this time for Jeff Fithian who spun.

With just one lap remaining, the green flag fell and Weller took the high line into turn one with Michael now trying to hold off a determine Dave Ely. Michael took a last ditch run at the lead but Weller was up to all the challenges to earn the win. Curt Michael was second followed by Dave Ely, Mark Bitner and Davey Sammons.

FEATURE FINISH: Josh Weller, Curt Michael, Dave Ely, Mark Bitner, Davey Sammons, JJ Grasso, Robbie Stillwaggon, Becca Anderson, Randy West, Andy Best, Jason Clauss, Kramer Williamson, Tim Hogue, Jonathan Swanson, Art Liedl, Jimmy Stitzel, Scott Pursell, Joe Zuczek, Troy Betts, Rorry Janney, Chris Weiss, Dave Martin, Jeff Fithian, Bryn Gohn

Georgetown, DE . . . . The Rislone URC Sprint Series invaded the Georgetown Speedway and a large crowd filled the grandstands on Friday night. Randy West of Boyertown, PA dominated the entire night from winning his heat race as well as leading the entire twenty-five lap distance to earn $2,000 for winning the feature event. Bordentown, NJ driver Davey Sammons absolutely thrilled the crowd with numerous moves that brought the fans to the edge of their seats earning an impressive third place finish in the feature event. For West, driving the Fred's Trailer Parts sprint car, it was his first win of the season and fourth career victory with the United Racing Company. For the Rislone URC Sprints, West was their eighth different feature winner in nine events.

The Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprints Series took part in the Friday night event at Georgetown with heat race victories going to Randy West, Kramer Williamson and Robbie Stillwaggon.

The field was called to the post to start the twenty-five lap and at the drop of the green flag, Randy West clearly established himself at the man to beat. Kramer Williamson ran second with Robbie Stillwaggon also in sight of the race leader. On lap nine, Stillwaggon moved into second but ran short of time to challenge the leader.

At the halfway point of the race, West, Williamson and Rory Jenney made-up the top three followed by Josh Weller and Ed Aikin. On lap fifteen, Ed Aikin made contact with Tim Higgins and Aikin took a wild flip in turn two. Aikin walked away uninjured but the car was badly damaged.

On the restart, West, Williamson and Janney had the front of the field covered with Josh Weller and Stillwaggon now making up the top five. On lap twenty-one, the yellow was displayed when fourth place runner Josh Weller developed a steering problem and limped back to the pits.

When green flag racing resumed, Randy West was firmly in control. Davey Sammons now moved into the picture, racing up high where very few have raced over the past few years. Sammons moved into on lap twenty-one and one lap later, he was racing third. In the final laps, West remained the pace setter and Sammons was challenging Kramer Williamson for second.

West took the win with Kramer Williamson second and Davey Sammons finishing an impressive third as Rory Janney finished fourth with Becca Anderson fifth.

FEATURE FINISH: Randy West, Kramer Williamson, Davey Sammons, Rory Janney, Becca Anderson, Robbie Stillwaggon, Curt Michael, Andy Best, Tim Hogue, Art Liedl, Bryn Gohn, Troy Betts, Chris Weis, Tim Higgins, Dave Martin, Josh Weller, Ed Aikin, Jonathan Swanson, Jeff Fithian, JJ Grasso. TWO RACE WEEKEND SET FOR URC WITH STOPS AT GEORGETOWN FRIDAY NIGHT & NEW EGYPT SATURDAY NIGHT

The highly competitive Rislone URC Sprint Series will be back in action this weekend with a visit on Friday night at the Georgetown Speedway on Route 113 in Georgetown, DE. Then on Saturday night, the URC teams will travel north to the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ. With eight races in the books, seven different drivers have visited the URC victory lane with only JJ Grasso pulling off a double win so far in 2011. Single event winners include Daryn Pittman, Kramer Williamson, Shane Stewart, Dave Ely, Mark Smith and Davie Franek.
Grasso leads the season long Rislone URC point chase with seven time URC champion Curt Michael currently in second. In typical Michael style, he has begun reeling in the point spread separating himself from Grasso. In 2010, Curt Michael trailed Grasso in the point chase by two hundred points and managed to squeak out winning the Rislone URC Championship in the season finale at the Weedsport Speedway.

Randy West of Boyertown, PA is enjoying one of his best seasons in the Fred's Trailer Parts #56. West is sitting third in the point chase followed by Becca Anderson and Robbie Stillwaggon. Sixth in point and charging hard is Davie "No Panic" Franek. Hot off a win at the Delaware International Speedway, Franek also missed the first race of the season but is just fifty points out of third in the point chase with just under twenty point race events still on the schedule. Franek also leads the Taylor & Messick Delaware State point series as JJ Grasso leads both the Rislone and Valley Forge Inc point series.

"NO PANIC" DAVIE FRANEK SCORES CAREER FIRST RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES FEATURE WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL

It was just a matter of time. Davie "No Panic" Franek of Wantage, NJ scored his first career Rislone URC Sprint Series feature win in convincing style Saturday night on Taylor & Messick Night at the Delaware International Speedway. Franek won the opening heat race of the night then led the entire twenty-five laps to pocket $2,000 for the URC win. It was the eighth race of the season and Franek became URC's seventh different feature winner of the season.

The three heat race events were won by Franek, Becca Anderson and Randy West. During the running of the third heat race, West established the LikeWise fast time of the night.

In the URC feature event, "No Panic" Franek quickly established himself as the man to beat as he ran to ride from outside pole sitter Becca Anderson. Seven time URC Champion Curt Michael started fifth and advanced his Valley Forge Inc sprinter into third by lap three. Franek held a comfortable lead over Anderson as Michael, Randy West and Josh Weller followed in the top five.

At the halfway point of the race the top five remained unchanged as all eyes were watching JJ Grasso, who was threading in way through traffic after starting last in the feature. Grasso failed to qualify in his heat race after a tangle with Robbie Stillwaggon. Grasso was on a mission and racing in eighth on lap fourteen.

On lap eighteen of the feature, the red flag was displayed after Steve Whary and Kramer Williamson tangled and flipped in turn one. Both driver walked away uninjured however their cars were badly damaged.

With the green flag waiving on the restart, "No Panic" Franek ran to hide from the rest of the field. Fourth place runner Josh Weller offered a challenge to Curt Michael as JJ Grasso was all over Randy West for the sixth position.

At the drop of the checker flag it was Davie Franke followed by Becca Anderson, Curt Michael, Josh Weller and Randy West. Making up the top ten were JJ Grasso, Ed Aikin, Andy Best, Art Liedl and Mark Bitner.

FEATURE FINISH: Davie Franek, Becca Anderson, Curt Michael, Josh Weller, Randy West, JJ Grasso, Ed Aikin, Andy Best, Art Liedl, Mark Bitner, Robbie Stillwaggon, Tim Hogue, Kramer Williamson, Dave Martin, Jonathan Swanson, Tim Higgins, Dave Ely, Rory Janney, Jeff Fithian, Steve Whary, Kevin Darling, Joe Zuczek.

Six different winners have visited the URC victory lane in the seven events presented so far this year on the Rislone URC Sprint Series. VALLEY FORGE INC PA SPRINT SERIES CONTINUES SATURDAY NIGHT. . . . . .
URC SPRINTS SHARE CARD WITH NASCAR MODIFIEDS ON THE HILL AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY, BPG RACING LUCKY FAN NIGHT PLUS RCN TV COVERAGE

A big night of racing is planned for the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night as the Rislone URC Sprint Series heads to the one-third mile high-banked Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA. Alone with the "winged warriors" will be the NASCAR 358 Modifieds is a super double-header racing program that will get underway at 7:30 with gates opening at 5:30 PM. The popular RCN TV will be on hand to film the racing program and some added fun will spice up the program courtesy of PBG Racing's "Lucky Fan Night". This event will also be a point race towards the season long Valley Forge INC Pennsylvania Sprint Series.

JJ Grasso, URC's current point leader is the defending winner of this event but don't count out local favorite Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA. Weller won this event in 2009 and 2007. Surprisingly, Grandview is not one of the favorite tracks for the Weller Team, but their results prove differently as they always seem to be in the chase for the win especially with their local fan base present.

Lets not court out seven time URC Champion Curt Michael. Over the last three event, the defending champion has worked his way from sixth in points to the runner-up spot, with a bulls eye now on point leader JJ Grasso. In the 2010 point chase, Grasso led the points most of the season but race after race, Michael chipped away at the point lead, winning the championship at the season finale. How will it play out in 2011?

Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE likes Grandview Speedway, but the seven time champion and winner of forty-four URC wins, has never won at Grandview. On Saturday night, Curt Michael hopes to move a Grandview victory into his win column.

Other URC drivers chasing a win include Randy West in the Fred's Trailer Parts sprinter, enjoying one of his best season along with Robbie Stillwaggon, Kramer Williamson, Becca Anderson, Art Liedl, Mark Bitner. Don't count out another local, West Lawn, PA driver Dave Ely. He's been to the Grandview victory lane and he already has one URC win this season.

A great night of racing is planned for Grandview on Saturday night, June 11.

RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES WILLIAMS GROVE

MARK SMITH DOMINATES MACH1 CHASSIS 360 SPRINT CHALLENGE FRIDAY NIGHT AT WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY, EARNS $3,000

Mark Smith of Tower City, PA did exactly what he had to do in a race sponsored by his car owner . . . .he won it.

Not only did Mark Smith win the MACH1 Chassis 360 Sprint Challenge, he led all twenty-five laps and was never challenged. For Smith, it was his first Rislone URC Sprint Series win of the season and second career win under the Rislone URC banner. The MACH1 Chassis sponsored race was also part in the Valley Forge INC Pennsylvania State Sprint Series. Heat race winners include JJ Grasso, Mark Smith, Pat Cannon and Daryn Pittman as the two "B" main events were won by Tim Kelly and Kramer Williamson..

In the MACH1 Chassis twenty-five lap sprint feature, Mark Smith took the lead at the drop of the green flag from pole sitter JJ Grasso. Without hesitation, Daryn Pittman was on a run, moving into second on lap two. Also making a good charge early in the race was Curt Michael, URC's seven time champion who was racing in third by lap four. The first caution of the event was displayed on lap five for Jessica Zemken who spun in turn two.

On the restart, Smith once again ran to hide from the field with Pittman following in second. By lap ten, Smith and Pittman had a comfortable lead as Pat Cannon and Lance Dewease were now racing in the top five. Just before the halfway mark, Curt Michael driving the Valley Forge INC sprinter began reeling in the leaders.

As the field crossed the line at the halfway point, the top five remained Smith, Pittman, Michael, Cannon and Dewease.

The turning point of the race was fast approaching with a yellow flag being displayed for Ed Aikin who stopped in turn two on lap twenty-one. One lap later, the yellow was again displayed, this time for Randy West who stopped on the homestretch..

The green flag was waiving once again, but before a lap could be completed, second place runner Daryn Pittman developed a flat tire and stopped on the homestretch.

The race would now be decided in a green, white checker run to the wire. Concerned with tire wear, Mark Smith brought the field down for the green flag to restart the race. Runner-up Curt Michael took his shot to challenge Smith for the win the MACH1 Chassis sprinter going to own this race.

Smith took the win over Curt Michael, Lance Dewease, JJ Grasso and Aaron Ott.

TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE SPRINT SERIES VISITS GEORGETOWN SUNDAY NIGHT,
JJ GRASSO TOPS ALL WITH IMPRESSIVE RUN FOR SECOND WIN IN 2011 AND EIGHTEENTH CAREER RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES WIN

JJ Grasso, also known as the "Jersey Jet" lived up to his name Sunday night at the Georgetown Speedway in the sixth event of the Rislone URC Sprint Series. Grasso unleashed the BK Leasing Palladino Motorsports sprint car, taking the lead from Robbie Stillwaggon on lap seven. Once on top, Grasso was never challenged winning his second URC event of the season and his eighteenth career win. Grasso also won his heat race and his strong performance will further pad his point lead in chase of the Rislone URC Championship honors.

Three heat race events were presented with victories going to Robbie Stillwaggon, JJ Grasso and Jonathan Swanson and Joe Zuczek won the "B" Main.

Stillwaggon and Grasso started on the front row of the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint Feature and at the drop of the green, Stillwaggon out gunned Grasso to take the lead. Stillwaggon and Grasso battled for the lead for several laps, with Grasso taking the lead on lap seven. The caution was then displayed for Steve Whary who came to a stop in turn four.

On the restart, Grasso once again ran to hide from the field with Stillwaggon a solid second followed by Ed Aiken, Becca Anderson and Davie Franek. Steering problems forced Becca Anderson to slow and Randy West moved into the top five.

At the halfway park, Grasso, Stillwaggon, Aiken, Franek and West were the top five. Seven time URC Champion Curt Michael started deep in the pack, but he was charging to the front, now racing in the top ten. A close battle was forming for third between Davie Franek and Ed Aiken.

In the closing laps, Grasso remained the pace setter and ran unchallenged to the checker flag. Stillwaggon captured second with a very strong run as Ed Aikin finished third with Davie "No Panic" Franek fourth and Randy West finishing fifth.

TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE SERIES UNFOLDS SATURDAY NIGHT. . .
DAVE ELY WINS THRILLER OVER CURT MICHAEL AND DAVIE FRANEK IN RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES EVENT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA won a thriller Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway for the fifth show of the Rislone URC Sprint Series, taking place on Taylor & Messick Night. On the score sheets, Ely led the entire twenty-five lap distance but on lap sixteen, Curt Michael in the Valley Forge INC sprinter took the lead for a short time before Ely regained the top spot during a wild exchange of positions with lapped cars. Ely survived several late race cautions to score the win, his first of 2011 and twelfth URC career win. Ely earned $2,000 for the win, driving the Gene Franckowiak owned URC sprint car.

Twenty-seven URC sprints turned out for the program with heat wins going to Randy West, Dave Ely and Curt Michael as Tim Hogue won the "B" Main.

Dave Ely and Curt Michael made-up the front row to start the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint Feature. At the drop of the green flag, Ely immediately took charge and set the pace as Michael and Davie "No Panic" Franek followed. Josh Weller and JJ Grasso made up the top five. At different stages of the race, Michael would reel in the leader and as the race approached the halfway point, slower traffic became a challenge. At the halfway point the top five was unchanged with Ely leading and holding a comfortable margin.

On lap sixteen, race leader Dave Ely got caught up with some lapped traffic and Curt Michael moved his Valley Forge INC sprinter to the front of the pack. Ely quickly evaluated the situation and regained the lead before a lap could be completed.

The battle continued, but now Ely had a clear lane ahead as Curt Michael tried to pull out all the stops. A late race caution brought the field together once again and on the restart, Davie "No Panic" Franek passed Michael for second. A mix-up on the backstretch took place opening the door for a caution, moving Michael back to second since a lap was not completed.

On the restart, with just two laps to go, Michael looked for an opportunity to challenge Ely for the lead but at the same time, he had to hold off a determined Franek. Ely ran off with a comfortable lead and held the top spot for the final two laps. Curt Michael finished second followed by Davie Franek, Josh Weller and JJ Grasso.

FEATURE FINISH: Dave Ely, Curt Michael, Davie Franek, Josh Weller, JJ Grasso, Randy West, Rory Janney, Robbie Stillwaggon, Becca Anderson, Ed Aikin, Kramer Williamson, Andy Best, Art Liedl, Jonathan Swanson, Kevin Darling, Tim Hogue, Tim Iulg, Jimmy Stitzel, Tim Higgins, Steve Whary, Dave Martin, Chris Coyle, Joe Zuczek, Scott Pursell. RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES OPENS TWO RACE WEEKEND TONIGHT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL, SUNDAY NIGHT AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will present race five of the 2011 tour and it gets underway with a two race Delaware weekend tonight at the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE. Charlie Cathell's well prepared speedway has been home to the URC sprints for many years, in fact, no other speedway has hosted more URC events then Delaware International. Tonight, (Saturday) the URC sprints will invade the state of Delaware with the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series opening at the Delaware International Speedway. On Sunday night, the URC sprints and the Taylor & Messick Series will move to the Georgetown Speedway for an event promoted and organized by Jay James and the staff of the Bridgeport Speedway. URC racers always enjoy this two race weekend on the Eastern Shore.

In four Rislone URC Sprint Series events this season, URC has seen four different winners with Daryn Pittman winning the open at the Bridgeport Speedway as Kramer Williamson took the win at Bridgeport . URC’s Jonathan Swanson Prepares For His Version Of An Eastern Swing

Swanson Will Race Five Races In Seven Days

Yardville, NJ-- As the USAC wingless sprint series prepares for their Eastern Swing next week, URC driver Jonathan Swanson is preparing for his own version. For the second year in a row Jonathan plans on running five races in seven days while pulling double duty in both a winged and wingless sprint car.

“Last year was a lot of fun and we learned a lot,” said Jonathan. “The most difficult thing is moving from the winged car to the wingless car. Hopefully we learned a lot last year to make it easier to jump around.”

Jonathan and his Pioneer Pole Builders, Rob’s Automotive and Collision, EZ Release Pro Shop, Justice Brother’s Quality Parts team start their Swing with a double-header URC weekend at Delaware International and Georgetown Speedways this weekend. Jonathan sits ninth in URC points, a position higher then he finished in 2010 and looks to improve upon as the season continues. Then it’s time to switch gears with Jonathan running with the USAC wingless sprint series on their stops at Grandview and New Egypt Speedways. Jonathan will wrap up his busy racing week with URC’s first appearance of the season at Williams Grove.

“Our main goal this season is being a points contender with URC,” said Jonathan. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun on the way. I tested at New Egypt last week to shake the USAC car down and during the second hot lap session I was really getting the hang of it again. I’m really looking forward to running these races this week with URC and USAC.”

Along with running these five races, Jonathan will also be making his first public appearance of the season during the Memorial Day Parade in New Egypt, NJ. Jonathan will be handing out autographed photos and candy along the always packed parade route of downtown New Egypt.

“It takes a lot to prepare for this stretch of racing, but I wouldn’t be here without the support of our fans,” said Jonathan. “I’m really looking forward to the parade and letting people know I’ll be racing at their hometown track that week.”

VALLEY FORGE INC SPRINT SERIES NIGHT. . . . .
SHANE STEWART DRIVES SCOTT McCLAREN URC SPRINTER TO IMPRESSIVE WIN IN JACK GUNN MEMORIAL SATURDAY NIGHT AT SELINSGROVE

The Rislone URC Sprint Series presented their fourth show of the season with the sixth running of the Jack Gunn Memorial 358/360 Sprint Challenge Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway. The Valley Forge Inc event went on under threatening skies as Promoter Charlie Paige moved forward with the show that developed into a thriller. Shane Steward from Indianapolis, IN strapped into the Scott McClaren owned URC sprinter and dominate most of the thirty lap feature. In the closing laps, local favorite Blane Heimbach made several challenges for the win, but each time, Stewart prevailed. Winning Car Owner Scott McClaren won this event the two previous years with Trevor Lewis as the driver. Lewis, elected not to race this year so for this event, McClaren brought in Shane Stewart and at the end of the night, it was the right decision. Stewart collected $3,830 for his night of work.

The Rislone URC Sprints brought nineteen of the forty-two cars that took part in the event. Heat race winners were Pat Cannon, Blane Heimbach, Shane Stewart and Cody Keller as Curt Michael and Randy West won the two "B" Main events. The track was lightening fast as Pat Cannon set a new one lap track record with a time 17.238 at a speed of 110.602 mph. During the running of the second heat race, Blane Heimbach set a new eight lap track record with a time of 2:21:281.

The thirty lap Jack Gunn Memorial feature took the green flag with a twenty-six car starting field. Before the first lap was complete, Randy West tagged the homestretch wall bringing out the caution and ending his night of racing. On the restart, Shane Stewart powered to the lead with Becca Anderson second and in the chase. By lap four, Pat Cannon was second, Anderson third and Blane Heimbach fourth.

As the field completed lap ten, the yellow was displayed for Dave Calaman and Josh Beard who tangled in turn four. On the restart, Stewart returned to his blistering pace with Cannon, Heimbach, Davie Franek and JJ Grasso were in chase of the leader. At the halfway point, Stewart held a comfortable lead and the battle was now between Cannon and Heimbach for second as Grasso and Franek followed in the top five.

The race got very interesting on lap nineteen as Blane Heimbach moved into second and immediately set forth a challenge with Stewart. Heimbach did not give up and just pressured Stewart lap after lap. A red flag on lap twenty-three was displayed for Duane Mausteller who stopped in turn one as Becca Anderson came to a stop on the backstretch.

When green flag racing resumed, so did the battle for the lead. Heimbach was relentless trying both the inside and the outside groove to wrestle the lead from Stewart. With just two laps remaining, Heimbach moved to the outside groove and had a strong run off turn four, but with each attempt, Stewart had just enough to maintain the lead.

With the checker flag waiving, Shane Stewart slipped under the checker flag to score his first URC career win. Blane Heimbach earned a well deserved second place finish with Pat Cannon third, JJ Grasso fourth and TJ Stutts fifth.

FEATURE FINISH: Shane Stewart, Blane Heimbach, Pat Cannon, JJ Grasso, TJ Stutts, Eric Tomecek, Nate Snyder, Larry Kelleher, Davie Franek, Jason Shultz, Jessica Anderson, Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson, Colby Womer, Becca Anderson, Michael Rutikamp, Jason Clauss, Duane Mausteller, Josh Weller, Phil Walter, Dave Calaman, Josh Beard, Tim Hogue, Cody Keller, Bob Beidleman. $3,500 TO WIN. . . . . . . .
TALENT GALORE TO TAKE PART IN 6TH ANNUAL JACK GUNN 358/360 SPRINT CHALLENGE AT SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT

You can feel the intensity of this event when you arrive at the track.

The top drivers in 358/360 sprint car racing all come together for a mix and match show of talent as they chase the $3,500 first place prize in the sixth running of the Jack Gunn 358/360 Sprint Challenge at Selinsgrove Speedway this Saturday night, May 14. And what a thriller this race has been in the past, especially the last two years when Trevor Lewis passed Pat Cannon in the last turn and on the final lap. A duplicate thrilling finish two years in a row is exactly what the fans come to see.

Trevor Lewis of Upper Black Eddy, PA won the last two Gunn Memorial events as likeable Blane Heimbach of Selinsgrove, PA won the prestigious event in 2006 and 2008 as Dave Calaman was the winner in 2007. Lewis has taken some time off from racing and will not be in the pits on Saturday night, but popular car owner Scott McClaren will have in familiar #21 track side with national star Shane Stewart of Bixby, OK in the seat. Stewart is well known throughout the country for his sprint car racing success and adapts well to any ride and almost any track. Although Trevor Lewis will not be in the field to pull off the win, Scott McClaren will be looking for a third consecutive win as car owner in this event.

Local talent is plentiful with URC's point leader JJ Grasso and defending champion Curt Michael in the field. Grasso is hot off a big win last weekend at the Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, NY and Michael is always one of the fastest on the big half mile at Selinsgrove. Becca Anderson, Josh Weller, Kramer Williamson, Tim Hogue, Randy West, Robbie Stillwaggon and Jonathan Swanson are just some of URC's top runners. Also keep an eye on URC rookie driver Troy Betts who is showing "future star" status after just three events.

Of course the field will see the likes of Blane Heimbach, Pat Cannon, Davie Franek, Mark Smith and even a few other big names showing up to chase the attractive payoff. The $3,500 first place payoff is complimented with $1,000 for a fifth place finish, $500 for tenth with the event offering $225 just to take the green.

Saturday night, May 14 will offer a big night of racing with big names and a big payoff and it all takes place at the Selinsgrove Speedway. Race time is 7:30 PM.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will then travel to Delaware for a two race weekend with stops at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday, May 28 and a Sunday night stop at the Georgetown Speedway on May 29.

JJ GRASSO AND AMERICAN RACER WIN BLACK ROCK SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY NIGHT

JJ Grasso riding on his American Racer tires was the class of the field winning the twenty-lap Sprint Championship Saturday night at the Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, NY. Grasso started the night by winning his heat race and after starting on the pole, led most of the twenty-five lap feature. Justin Barger wrestled the lead away from Grasso on lap eleven but by lap fifteen, Grasso had his BK Leasing Palladino Motorsports #99 at the front of the pack. For Grasso, the 2009 URC Champion, it was his first win of the season and his seventeenth career Rislone URC Sprint Series career win on Fred's Trailer Parts Night.

The Black Rock Sprint Championship attracted a field of thirty-four sprints with URC adding thirteen cars to the field as the Patriots drew eleven and the Empire Super Sprints brought ten cars to the event. Heat race winners were Jeff Cook, Josh Weller, Becca Anderson and JJ Grasso. Don Adamezyk was the winner of the DASH as Steve Whary won the "B" Main.

A field of twenty-seven sprint cars started the twenty-five lap feature with JJ Grasso and Josh Weller making up the front row. At the drop of the green flag, Grasso was quick to establish himself as the man to beat. As the field completed lap two, the caution was displayed for Alain Bergeron who stopped in turn three as Curt Michael spun on the backstretch..

The restart saw Grasso again set the pace with Weller and Dylan Swienik in the chase with a determined Justin Barger on his way to the front. On lap nine, the yellow was displayed for Swienik after he tangled with Troy Betts. On the restart, Steve Whary tangled with another car and flipped in turn four. Whary walked away uninjured but out of the race.

With the green flag waiving, Grasso led the tenth lap with Justin Barger taking the lead on lap eleven. Grasso quickly went to work reeling in the leader and on lap fifteen, he went back into the top spot. Barger and Weller followed to make-up the top three with Randy West and Chuck Hebing now moving into the picture.

The final caution of the race was displayed on lap twenty-one for Vern Wasson and now the shoot out was set for the final four laps.

When green flag racing resumed, Grasso was still the man to beat as Barger took his final run at the leader. Weller followed in third with Randy West and Becca Anderson making up the top five. Grasso had no challenges in the final laps and took the win, worth $2,500. Barger finished a strong second with Josh Weller third, Randy West fourth and on the final lap, Jared Zimbardi passed Becca Anderson for fifth.

FEATURE FINISH: JJ Grasso, Justin Barger, Josh Weller, Randy West, Jared Zimbardi, Becca Anderson, Robbie Stillwaggon, Chuck Hebing, Steve Poirier, Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson, Bryan Howland, Scott Kreutter, Davie Franek, Tim Hogue, Kevin Ward Jr, Dylan Swiernik, Tyler Rand, Troy Betts, Vern Wesson, Art Liedl, Don Adamezyk, Lance Yonge, Steve Whary,, Michael Parent, Jeff Cook, Alain Bergeron.

Race Two of Rislone URC Sprint Series. . . .
VIPER VENOM FUELS KRAMER WILLIAMSON TO IMPRESSIVE $2,550 VICTORY SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

The already attractive URC purse received an additional $1,000 bonus thanks to Viper Venom Fuels and at the end of the night, it was veteran Kramer Williamson of Palmyra, PA earning the win worth $2,550 Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway. Williamson was strong at the beginning of the night, winning his heat race in convincing style. In the twenty-five lap Rislone URC feature, Williamson played the waiting game, running second most of the race. The turning point of the feature happened on lap twenty, when the slower car of Troy Betts jumped out of gear. Race Leader Curt Michael had nowhere to go and the two cars tangled entering turn one, eliminating both cars from competition. For Michael, his night started with severe motor problems after taking the checker flag and finishing second in the second heat race. The Valley Forge Inc pit crew led by Sean Michael changed out the motor in time to start the feature event. After the lap twenty incident between Michael and Betts, Kramer Williamson assumed the lead and ran unchallenged the final five laps to take the win.

The event Saturday night was the second race of the 2011 Rislone URC Sprint Series and the first race of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. Heat race events were won by Tim Hogue, Kramer Williamson and Randy West.

In the twenty-five lap URC sprint feature, Tim Hogue of Medford, NJ set the early pace and certainly had the field covered for the first seven laps. Curt Michael, following that motor change started fifth and was chasing Hogue on lap seven. The first yellow of the race was displayed on lap eight when Robbie Stillwaggon spun in turn two. On the restart, Michael dove to the bottom was Hogue up high. Down the backstretch, Hogue fought back to hold the lead but entering the third turn, Michael moved the Valley Forge Inc sprinter to the front of the pack. At that point of the race, there was really no one on the track who was in a position to challenge Michael for the win.

With each lap, Michael ran to hide from the rest of the field as Williamson followed in second with Hogue third, Randy West fourth and JJ Grasso fifth. Suddenly, Becca Anderson in the Dave Betts owned sprinter was on a charge racing just outside the top five.

By lap nineteen, Anderson moved into fifth, dropping Grasso to sixth as Josh Weller moved into the picture also chasing a top five finish.

As Michael entered turn one on lap twenty, the failing car of Troy Betts was right in the groove. The yellow flag was displayed for Troy Betts who stopped on the bank in turn two with race leader Curt Michael and his Valley Forge Inc 5g now stopped on the backstretch. Both cars required tow trucks to take them back to the pit area.

With five laps remaining, Williamson and his Pink Panther #73 were at the front of the field followed by Tim Hogue (who was running one of his best races of his career, Randy West, Becca Anderson and JJ Grasso. In the closing laps, the battle brewing was that between Randy West and Becca Anderson. Grasso also had his hands full as Josh Weller was trying to break the top five.

With the checker flag waiving, Kramer Williamson was the Viper Venom Victory over Tim Hogue, Randy West, Becca Anderson and JJ Grasso. For Williamson, it was his first win of the season and sixty-seventh career Rislone URC feature event win.

In total, Paul Messick of Viper Venom Fuels posted $1,000 bonus dollars with Kramer Williamson collecting $500 as Randy West, Becca Anderson, JJ Grasso, Josh Weller and Davey Franek shared in the Viper money.

FEATURE FINISH: Kramer Williamson, Tim Hogue, Randy West, Becca Anderson, JJ Grasso, Josh Weller, Davey Franek, Rory Janney, Andy Best, Dave Ely, Art Liedl, Robbie Stillwaggon, Joe Zuczek, Tim Iulg, Jonathan Swanson, Dave Martin, Curt Michael, Troy Betts, Johnny Zimmerman, Mark Bitner, Kevin Darling, Chris Weis

RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES UNDERWAY FOR 2011

The 64th season of the Rislone URC Sprint Series is officially underway after a successful opener Saturday night at the Bridgeport Speedway. The teams of URC are now preparing for their first visit of the season to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, April 16. This event will mark the first race of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series, a mini-point series within the season long Rislone tour. Daryn Pittman invaded Bridgeport and dominated the twenty-five lap URC sprint feature as all eyes were on drivers like Ed Aikin and Becca Anderson, two drivers who had the best shot of defeating the professional racer out of Owasso, MO

Ed Aikin returned to the URC wars this year and was an immediate threat for the victory until mechanical problems took him out of the hunt, turning the lead over to the talented Pittman who was driving the Mike Heffner owned sprint car. Becca Anderson, the lady racer from Houston, DE made several attempts to reel in Pittman, but a pair of caution flags just fell at the wrong time, allowing Pittman to keep a solid hold on the top spot.

Anderson, driving the Dave Betts owned sprinter rallied home an impressive second and she was all smiles during the post race interviews.

This Saturday night, Anderson will be heading to her home track where she has a strong following of local fans to cheer her on. Anderson is well aware that Daryn Pittman will again be in the field. Former Champion JJ Grasso, defending Champion Curt Michael along with Dave Ely, Eddie Wagner, Kramer Williamson, Jonathan Swanson and Robbie Stillwaggon will be in the field at Delaware International Saturday night. Race time is 7 PM.

Daryn Pittman driving the Mike Heffner owned sprint car won the sixty-fourth season opener for the Rislone URC Sprint Series. Pittman of Owasso, OK charged from his tenth starting position, moving into third before the completion of the first lap. NEWS FROM: UNITED RACING COMPANY

URC OPENER SET FOR SATURDAY NIGHT, APRIL 9 AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY, CURT MICHAEL EYES EIGHTH URC CHAMPIONSHIP CROWN

No other driver in URC history has reached the milestone of winning seven Championship Titles, and when the 2011 season begins at the Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday night, April 9, Curt Michael will be chase of an eight championship. Michael will be defending his accomplishment of 2010, once again behind the wheel of one of URC's most wanted rides, the Bill Gallagher owned Valley Forge INC #5 out of King of Prussia, PA.

At age thirty-nine, the Ocean View, DE driver is excited about the 2011 Rislone URC Sprint Series as the busy schedule is offering one of the highest season long payoffs in the history of the United Racing Company. As for chasing that eighth title, "If it comes our way great, but we go out to win races and that will be our plan again this year", commented Michael.

The success of Curt Michael really centers around the fact that he manages to "avoid the big one" and from a mechanical aspect, the car never breaks. In 2010, the Valley Forge INC 5G finished every race and along the way, Curt's masterful driving ability kept the 5G off the back of the tow trucks. Curt is quick to recognize his crew chief and brother Sean Michael for the teams outstanding efforts in getting the car ready every week and for making the right set-up calls at the track. Curt did point out that, " You have to be fast to win races, and you have to finish to win titles". . . . . it's a combination that seems to work him in earning seven championships and forty-four feature wins with URC. "I drive to the capability of the conditions and situations of each race and when I'm in a position to go for the win, I'll go for it. If the odds are against me, I drive the car to its limit and go back to the pits with the car in one piece", explained Michael.

On race night, Michael is very intense and can usually be found studying the line-up board of not only the heat races, but the feature line-up as well. "I look at who is starting in what positions and just play it over and over again in my head to try and figure out who will do what, and it usually works", commented Michael.

Nearly one-third of the entire Rislone URC Sprint Series schedule offers higher paying events and Curt was quick to say, "I think that's great!". These events do attract and bring in all the top names in sprint car racing and to some degree, that makes winning an even more difficult challenge. "I believe that if you can't beat the invaders, you do need to race against them just to get better, but no matter how you look at it, I'll just say, bring them on".

Curt just can't be happier with his team and when he speaks of his car owner Bill Gallagher, he always gets just a little emotional. "I love driving for Bill, he is a great friend and owner and I'll be his driver as long as he has a sprint car", said Michael.

Michael will again has his hands full with lots of competition from JJ Grasso, Josh Weller, Robbie Stillwaggon, Kramer Williamson, Ed Aikin, Jonathan Swanson, Art Liedl, Becca Anderson and Randy West just to name a few.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will get underway Saturday night at the Bridgeport Speedway. For more information, please visit our website at; www.urcsprints.com

2009 ROOKIE EDDIE WAGNER HOPES FOR LUCK IN THE 2011 SEASON

From Franklinville, NJ, 20 year old Eddie Wagner hopes to finally complete the full 2011 Rislone URC Sprint Series successfully, after suffering unlucky hardships occurring throughout the past 2 seasons. Before the 2010 season began, things looked bright for the E3racing team. Going into the season with good equipment, a brand new motor, and full support from sponsors, friends and family, Wagner and his team were looking to get their first career Rislone Sprint Series win, but during the pre-season practice day at Bridgeport Speedway, engine problems seized those dreams.

Thankfully, with the help of fellow competitor, JJ Grasso and his father JJ Sr., they offered their motor to Eddie and his team so that they could compete in the season opener at Bridgeport. After 2 top tens and 1 top 5 finished with the help of the Grasso Power plant, motor problems struck once again after coasting to 3rd place at Delaware International Speedway. After this tragedy, it was decided that the team needed to take time off to recuperate after their losses.

Coming back for the Labor day weekend races at Delmar and Georgetown with a newly repaired motor by Scott Baylor, Eddie finished 12th and 10th that weekend, enlightening the team after the devastation occurring months before. With two more 13th place finishes at Delmar and Big Diamond, Eddie hopes to only improve and succeed in the 2011 season.

This year, Gary Waegel, an old friend from the micro sprint leagues will join the E3Racing team as head crew chief, making things easier for Eddie, as both of their knowledge combined should produce a great outcome. “A crew chief is definitely what we need this year, so that I can focus more on what I need to improve on as a driver, and I believe Gary is the right man for the job”, Wagner says. The E3Racing team also consists of Eddie’s dad Ed as head team mechanic, Mark Dundon as fuel and tire specialist, Logan Fote, and Eddie‘s girlfriend Erika Palmai as team secretary and PR person.

Eddie and the rest of his team looks forward to the 2011 Rislone Sprint Series schedule, and plans to attend as many races as possible. They look forward to racing at the variety of tracks URC has lined up, and they are very excited for the big money races, as well as regular points races to be the key to learning new things and having fun every week by doing what they love.

Sponsors on board for the 2011 season that Eddie would like to thank are E.J Wagner Jr. Trucking & Son, Roadside Graphix, Drywall Plus, Palmco Race Car Repair, Caveman Construction, The Body Shop by DiEva, Tri-County Mechanical, Racing World Magazine, Asphalt Industries, BRP Services Inc., AC Racing and Wheelsofspeed.com.

ROBBIE STILLWAGGON LOOKS AT 2011 RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES. . . . AS THE BIG ONE

From Burlington, NJ, twenty-two year old Robbie Stillwaggon looks to the coming Rislone URC Sprint Series as the "big one". This young and exciting URC driver has displayed moments of greatness and on several occasions, was in the mix as a title contender, especially in 2010. Although he was winless last season, he did deliver his best finish in the season long point chase with a solid fifth. Stillwaggon was consistent and that's the first secret to being a title contender.

In 2006, Robbie planned a six race season driving for URC's friendliest car owner Fred Kennedy, then that plan quickly extended to an entire series. "Uncle Fred is an amazing car owner who knows all aspects of the sport. He has tremendous input from his driving experience and he is able to help me with my driving style and set-up. He gives me all the necessary equipment to win and more", commented an excited Stillwaggon.

Even with a fifth place finish in the highly competitive Rislone URC point chase, Stillwaggon reviews the past season as filled with highs and lows. There were plenty of good runs but it was the tough luck that kept Stillwaggon from parking his Fred Kennedy owned J&J Chassis sprinter in victory lane last year. "My brother Ryan had stepped up at the beginning of the 2010 season and became the crew chief. We had some learning curves but towards the end of the year, I thought we were always in contention for the win", said Robbie.

Robbie learned a lot in 2010 about patience and consistency and how the two go hand-in-hand. "The lessons that Ryan and I learned last year will help greatly. Ryan always know how I like the car, however, we had to learn how to better adjust to the every changing track conditions and keeping the car consistent". Robbie continued to say, "I feel that with every race last year, the car, crew and I improved and hopefully, this will continue through the 2011 season".

It was Robbie's parents that that got him involved in racing and they have been extremely throughout the years. For Robbie, his entire crew has become part of his family and they have fun where ever they go. For Robbie, "The great part of having a family and a crew is that no matter what, they are always there for you. For instance, we had a car that for one reason or another didn't work, the entire crew spend a Friday night after a race at the Grove to get the other car in race ready condition". Robbie added, " Family will do anything for each other no matter how mad they are at you or, what they have to sacrifice". That all important crew includes Robbie's Mom and Dad, Fred Kennedy, Ryan Stillwaggon, John Cameron, Mike Stoer, Kevin Stoer, Ole Guy, Mike "WaWa" Talaricco and Danielle Owen.

"I really like the URC schedule for 2011 and the different tracks we will be visiting, especially the Selinsgrove Speedway", said Stillwaggon. "To win any race with URC is a big deal, but to win a higher paying race which fills the field with twenty-four of the best cars is extremely challenging. I look forward to running the higher paying races and I think we will be successful". Robbie was quick to comment on URC's strength, "URC brings competitive cars to a different track every week and this makes URC's drivers some of the best".

The familiar yellow #89 will return to the racings wars of URC in 2011, powered by Wesmar and YRE motors. Sponsors going for the Stillwaggon ride in 2011 include Quality Auto Body, Fred's Trailer Parts Center, ISC Salesmaster Corp., Mini Concrete, Rene Gaudory Electrical Contracting and Robbie's grandparents all help make this weekly challenge fall in place.

Looking to 2011, Robbie has one goal, "to return to victory lane multiple times in 2011".

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will open on Saturday night, April 9. For more information, please visit our website at www.urcsprints.com

DARYN PITTMAN TO RUN RISLONE URC OPENER AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY SATURDAY, APRIL 9

"Our plans right now are to run the first two URC events of the year", stated nationally known sprint car driver Daryn Pittman of Owasso, OK. On his way to race in Georgia on Thursday, Pittman talked about his very busy 2011 racing plans and over the course of the season, he'll be running select events on the Rislone URC Sprint Series schedule. "URC is a good organization and I enjoy racing with them, they do things right. As for the Bridgeport Speedway, I ran there in a 410 sprint a few years ago. . . . I like the big tracks and the fast tracks and that pretty much describes Bridgeport Speedway", said Pittman as he was driving South to his first race of the season. URC has their opener planned for Saturday night, April 9 at the Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, NJ.

If all goes well, Pittman also plans to make race two of the 2011 URC season which is set for the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, April 16. Pittman has a long list of accomplishments beating the World of Outlaws drivers as well as the best of the Pennsylvania Posse. Driving the Mike Heffner owned sprinter, Pittman will have only the best equipment at his availability and he'll be coming to Bridgeport Speedway on April 9th with just one motive, "to win".

Pittman has tons of experience at a lot of race tracks, but Bridgeport and Delaware International will offer a different challenge, he'll be driving a 360 sprint car verses their "big brother" the 410 sprints. With that said he'll have the masters of 360 sprints in the field at Bridgeport, including URC's seven time champion Curt Michael as well as the fast and furious Jersey Jet, JJ Grasso, Josh Weller, Justin Collett, Kramer Williamson, Robbie Stillwaggon and a host of others.

URC's well known car owner Pat Palladino heard of the news that Pittman was coming to Bridgeport and his only comment was, "bring 'em on".

THE JERSEY JET JJ GRASSO BEGINS COUNTDOWN TO RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES OPENER

It's going to get wild. . . . Saturday night, April 9th at the Bridgeport Speedway when the Rislone URC Sprint Series kicks off their 2011 season and in the field will be former URC Champion JJ "The Jersey Jet" Grasso.

At age twenty-six, JJ Grasso has made quite a name for himself and has quickly become one of the fan's favorite drivers in URC. After all, when you earn the name "The Jet", that pretty much tells it all. Grasso, the 2009 Rislone URC Champion finished second in the 2010 point chase, getting edged out for the title by seven time URC champion Curt Michael. Driving the Pat and Kathy Palladino Motorsports #99 entry, Grasso will be chasing another title in 2011, but with a slightly different approach.

"Pat's a great owner and he goes above and beyond as a car owner. He puts in significant time working on the car during the week and looks everything over after each race". JJ continued to say, "Pat's maintenance program is astonishing". Riding in a J&J Chassis powered by a Don Ott power plant, look for the Palladino #99 to carry a similar look as it did in 2010. In just two years of driving for Palladino Motorsports, JJ delivered and first and second place finish in the point chase and tallied nine feature wins. Grasso will start the 2011 season with sixteen career URC wins.

In review of 2010, JJ saw it as a good year for him and the team. The season wasn't as flawless as 2009, but they delivered consistent finishes and four wins. Known as the "Jersey Jet", the Pedricktown, NJ sprint car driver will focus on winning races in the coming year rather then a championship. "I felt like I kept focus on winning races but it's hard to keep the championship out of mind with such a tight point race that I had never before experienced in URC", commented Grasso.

In 2011, the Rislone URC Sprint Series will visit some thirteen different tracks, including favorite stops for Grasso at Bridgeport, Delaware International, Grandview and the New Egypt Speedway, but in short, there aren't any tracks that JJ Grasso doesn't enjoy racing at.

At least eight big or increased dollar shows make-up the URC schedule and a personal goal for JJ has always been to win a "big $$$" show. "I'm excited that there are even more big shows this year", said Grasso who sounded like he was more then ready to stop shoveling snow and to get the racing season started.

So why would JJ Grasso want to race with URC? "It's all about the competition. Every week I show up to the race track and I know it isn't going to be easy with the level of competition that URC has". Grasso continued to say, "URC's strength is their ability to book shows at a variety of race tracks which it seems like other traveling groups have struggled to do".

So, for the coming URC season, Grasso has a plan and a goal, to be standing in victory lane at the end of the night with a checker flag, that's what it's all about for him. "Winning the championship is not an easy task but if I'm winning races, the championship will take care of itself in most cases".

JONATHAN SWANSON & PIONEER POLE BUILDINGS PREP FOR 2011 RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES

It's his third year with the Rislone URC Sprint Series and if the pre-season excitement is an indicator, 2011 is looking big for Jonathan Swanson.

Swanson, from Yardville, NJ is a graduate from the Bridgeport Speedway Jasper Sprint Series, joining URC in 2009. The first season was a learning curve, allowing Swanson to get at look at many of the tracks on the URC traveling tour for the very first time. From his first year with the "nation's oldest traveling sprint car organization", he quickly developed a reputation as a driver who ran a clean line and was respectful competitor at all times. He learned the ropes of the not always easy URC competition.

In just his second season with URC, Jonathan, he scored his first URC career win at the Big Diamond Raceway, he finished a solid tenth in points and at the annual URC Awards Banquet, he proudly accepted the Most Improved Driver of the Year Award.

Jonathan Swanson and his team are a class act both on the track and pit side. Their equipment always looks good, they show up at the track well prepared and they focus on the important stuff, car maintenance and preparation on race night. This team was so impressive that at the URC season finale of 2010, they locked down an impressive sponsorship program with Pioneer Pole Buildings, a highly visible business that advertises in the dirt track market. Bob Greene of PPB just liked what he heard and saw from the Swanson Team and in 2011, PPB will be proudly displayed on the Swanson sprinter.

With PPB riding with the Swanson team, associate sponsors are also aboard and include Rob’s Auto and Collision and Justice Brothers Quality Products.

It's a family thing for Team Swanson. Crew Chief Howard Swanson was a former URC competitor and turns the wrenches on race night. Jonathans brother Dave helps with the general maintenance and provides much of the enthusiasm and determination on race night. Jonathan's mother Susan, plays a key part in keeping line-ups and finishes and making sure the team makes the call when their event is going out on the track.

Jonathan Swanson will follow the entire Rislone URC Sprint Series this year, in total, approximately thirty races. He'll race with the best of URC to include seven time champion Curt Michael, former champion JJ Grasso, the "Wild Child" Josh Weller, Justin Collett and Robbie Stillwaggon just to name a few. At some of the high profile events on the URC schedule like the Rislone Nationals, drivers like Darryn Pittman, Mark Smith, Aaron Ott, Brian Montieth, Pat Cannon and Blane Heimbach will fill make the starting field. Competition does not fear Swanson. If you are going to beat the best, you have to race against them.

In 2011, look for Jonathan Swanson and his PPB #17J as he travels the URC season.

RANDY WEST EYES BIG SEASON WITH URC

Randy West of Boyertown, PA is planning a big season with URC and it all gets underway at the season opener to take place at the Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday night, April 9. Driving the Fred Kennedy owned #56, West has plenty of good things to say about his car owner.

"Fred is about the best car owner I could ever have. He puts no pressure on you at all since he races for fun and in fact, he wants his entire team to have fun". West continued to say, "Fred is also a very hands on owner and on race night, he makes a lot of the final decisions after we talk it over as a team". In 2010, Randy West finished a strong seventh in the season long Rislone URC Sprint Series point chase.

At the July 3rd event at the New Egypt Speedway, Randy West won a thriller off the fourth turn on the final lap, holding off a determined JJ Grasso for the victory. For West, it was his one and only win of the season but it did increase his URC career total to three.

"We learned a lot last season and actually started the season out pretty strong, but we fell off our pace towards the end of the year". West went on to say, "Well, we crashed hard at Bedford and hurt some motors after that which put us behind the eight ball".

Randy West landed the ride in the Fred Kennedy sprinter in 2008 at the Penn Can Speedway. He drove one of three cars that Fred fielded that night. A few weeks later, Fred offered Randy the ride and after juggling some vacation time, he took the ride full time. Randy's favorite tracks on the Rislone URC schedule include Lincoln, Delaware International and Williams Grove, three tracks that have plenty of URC race dates in 2011.

West is a dedicated driver of URC. "I like the schedule and I know where I stand and how the race night pay works before you ever leave the house". I like going to different tracks, especially those tracks where my family came get in the pits, that just makes the night of racing even more fun, " said West.

Randy is quick to thank not only Fred Kennedy but the hard working crew that prepares the car week in and week out. The crew includes Randy Wilbert, Todd Johns, Lori Brookes, Jenn West and Cody West and or course, don't forget the Team Mascot, Yogi. The team sponsors also play a key role in their success and they include Fred's Trailer Parts, Mini-Crete, Delran Auto Body, West Fabrication, Simpson, Rod End Supply, Winters and the Brake Man. The support of these sponsors is what makes racing the full Rislone URC schedule possible.

Randy West had a taste of winning, and that is certainly a goal for the coming season, but the first step in their plan to finish every race inside the top ten and let the points fall where they fall.

Three fresh and ready to go motors, tucked in from their long winter's nap are now awaiting the URC season opener on April 9. One thing for sure, when the winter thaw ends, and the URC gang gathers at Bridgeport, Randy West and the Fred Kennedy sprint car team will be more then ready to start the thirty race Rislone URC Sprint Series.
