DIS Year End Special Show This Weekend; The Champions Are Named

Delmar, DE ..The points for the three Delaware Motorsports Complex race tracks has ended with another successful season. All the champions will be crowed in January 2008 to receive trophies, awards and monies for capturing the championship spots. The champions all deserve a round of applause for all their hard work all season. Some drivers earned the top spots for the first time while others repeated. There will be more news on the top drivers during the next couple months as there are four groups of Champions to go over. Each top champion for the four tracks is named below.
First off, this coming weekend Nov. 3rd & 4th will be the 2007 Delaware State Dirt Track Championship to officially end the clays tight, fast, half mile oval for the season. (Rain Date Nov. 10th & 11th.) Over $70,000 in prize money will be awarded over the two day event. Monies go to who wins, each lap lead by a driver, bonus gamblers fee and more. This event has some of the best drivers hitting the track to go up against the powerful Delaware regular drivers.
The Saturday show will have the 50 lap Small Block feature along with the fantastic Little Lincoln Vintage Stock Car 10 lap feature. This year the mighty URC Sprints will be added to the Saturday show with a 25 lap feature to end the day. All the classes for Sundays features will also qualify before the sprint feature.
On Sunday, the remaining classes will run their features. With a 50 lap Big Block Modified, 50 laps Super Late Model, 25 laps for each crate classes (AC Delco TSS Modified, and TSS Late Model/Street Modified), a 15 lap Modified Lite feature and ending the day will be the Slide-For-Five. Any drivers that did not qualify will attempt to on Sunday to make the field.
Its a full weekend with fast cars, great features and fun, all in one and an attempt for those that crave the NEED FOR SPEED Syndrome to satisfy it. Track gates open 9 AM Saturday, Sunday 10AM, single day spectator only $20, single day pit admission is $30, 2-day general spectator pass $35, 2-day pit admission is only $55.
