Jamie Eichholz started on the pole, but Lou Johnson took the lead on the start.  Cars came down hard to turn 3 and 3 wide for 3rd were Lingo, Jr., K. Pettyjohn, Hill.  Yellow waves a couple times with just one lap in with Johnson leading, D. Pettyjohn, Hill, K. Pettyjohn, Lingo, Jr.  Johnson slows with flat after contact with a car and yellow out.  Johnson returns to the track with tried fixed, but goes 2 laps and the power steering breaks; managed to finish 7th.

1/2 way had Hill, leading followed by KP, DP, Simpson, Eichholz.  Lap 11 KP was 2nd when he had a tire go down; restart was Hill, DP, Simpson, Eichholz, Dale Lingo.  Some in between Lingo, Jr. headed to pits; not sure what happened.  Lap 13 Lingo, Eichholz battle for 4th side by side down the backstretch.  Nearing the end of the feature Hill and DP are held up by lap cars giving both a slowing, but DP went to the outside in turn 4 and took the lead.  Great job by both guys, and a great move.

Larry Meadows out of Severn, MD made his first time visit to DIS in a small block Late Model.  It was not only the first time there, it was his first time to race anything!

Kerry king could not get a break for nothing Sat. night.  During heats, the main car had problems, so running hot laps with the back up car sent him into the front wall when the back end just got a little loose and whipped around on him to hit the wall pretty hard.  Using the car he qualified in still had troubles and finished 15th

Gary Simpson was strong again to claim 2nd for the 2nd time in a row.

In the drivers meeting it was announced that the Street Modified / Crate Late Model will allow drivers at 14 years old and older to compete in this class only.

Robinson picked up his first win after only 2nd time in the car and he is running the crate motor.
