Robert Dutton picked up his first win for 2006. Rookie Matt Jester & Norman Short won heats. Beau Wilkins has really been fast too.
Donny Radd, Tim Millman blew engines, Steve Dutton fell with mechanical woes.
Jeff Paulson visited DIS for time this year. Tom Curtis had a left front tire come off during heats, but made the field and finished 12th.

In the feature, Mike Wilkins on a restart of lap 3, got a little out of shape tagging Kerry King, who bounced off the front stretch wall. When King was bouncing off the wall he got into G. G. Messick, and then King bounced back into the wall just under the flag stand flipping over on the roof. Both drivers were unhurt.
David Pettyjohn was running 2nd when the engine gave him trouble and headed to the pits on lap 10.
Gary Simpson rookie started 15th and finished 2nd. This is his first year in Late Models and very strong every week. Simpson also didn't run any heats with mechanical trouble; sure must worked it out.
Rick Whaley was back at DIS. Mark Williams a rookie to LM had one of his best finishes with 6th.
K Pettyjohn continues to be flawless with his 3rd win. He also was voted as the Redbud69 recipient for the Headache Award for last week when he and Vic Thomas made contact. Visit the forum to vote for who you think deserves the Headache Award from tonight?

Brad Trice was a double winner last weekend with winning the TSS Modified on Friday night at GT, and then winning on Saturday night at DIS. Great job guys.
Tommy Evans started 3rd, and worked to get 2nd, to only ride a little too wide and shuffling back to 14th, to bring it back up to 3rd. Great job!

Rookie Joe Warren took his first win in the TSS Late, Joe's a former Mod Lite class.
Young driver making a debut in the TSS Late Model this weekend was Travis Justice in the #4. He finished 7th on Friday and 9th Saturday at DIS. First time in any car classes; and he is one of the young guys that is running this year 16 or younger.
Steve Bunting had his engine go while qualifying and DNS. Eddie Williams showed up last week with a new car for him. I was told that it is one of Ricky Elliott's old car. (don't quote me for sure in the that it is Ricky's car, I just didn't get to verify.) Williams finished 2nd in one of his best finishes.
Ricky Eskridge first time to track for this year. Neither Chris or Shane Sockriter raced tonight. Chris received the Redbud69 Headache Award for the week before last.

The Mod Lite winner Brandon Dennis has been strong this year and collected his first win at DIS; he runs Middleford as well.
On the start, in turn 4 as they go green, Steve White and Randy Hill, Jr. make contact. White's car gets high up and flipping landing right side up on the pit exit to the track and front wall. Rookie Billy Mellon saw the action and moved to get out of the way as White's car landed smack dab pinning Mellon to the wall. No one injured. Mellon said he saw it all and was trying to get out of the way going high and I saw the car coming toward me before I cleared the turn.
Mike Hovatter made his way to DIS first time in #2, as Rusty Dadds in #38.
Jon Callaway hasn't been to DIS, everyone misses, nor sure what he is racing or doing.

Slide For Five Winner: Harlan Williams # 1688
Dylan Betts # 73 appeared to be the winner of the Slide for Five but his car was found not to have bald tires and failed the post-race inspection. Harlan Williams, who started in 29th was then credited with the victory.
