KP picked up his 4th win of the season. The feature had good action up front with Rob Massey leading all but the last few laps. Massey leading started to slide sideways as he came into turn 2 on lap 17. His tail slips to one side then the other and makes the save to claim 2nd. David Hill was behind Massey when this took place getting Hill out of shape as he came out of turn 2, but he too makes a dynamite save, just he did loose 3rd position and dropped back to 7th in the end.
On the start Mike Wilkins comes out of turn 2 and lands resting on the back wall and ended his night.
Lou Johnson had something break on his car just outside turn 1 on lap 13, he was running in the top3.
Late Model had Rick Whaley definitely having a rough night. It started in the heats, Bob Geiger, 38, was on the pole just got a round in turns 1 & 2 and Whaley no where to go plowed into Geiger, busting the door frame on right side of car. In the feature, his bad luck just continued around lap 17. You could tell he was a little upset when he got around in turns 3 & 4, gets out of the cars and raising his helmet as to throw toward Vic Thomas as the cars are back around to the caution area.
David Pettyjohn has had to get motors fixed as Dale Lingo also was not running last night either.

Two Out Of Three Is How Ron Wilson Sees It In The Little Lincoln Feature
1. Ron Wilson # 15Bill Brittingham # 4
2. Jamie Wagner # 3
3. Donald Robinson, Jr. # 64
4. Tony Daisey # 7
5. Mel Joseph, Jr. # 30
Remaining Field Follows:
Matt Tipton 7X, Tim Chambers 22, Kenny Foy 47, Albert Mitchell 10, Pat McNeil 00, Duke Walsen 9, Bill Brittingham 4, Jim Miller, III 57, Matt Johnson 69, Wayne Wilkerson 43, Jeff Karr 7K.
The Vintage Little Lincoln's "Blast from the Past" visited and put on a great show as usual. 16 cars made up the field with new comer Matt Johnson on the pole. Johnson was here the last time they ran, but his car was not lettered. So during the break Johnson had the 1957 sea blue Chevy numbered 69 really looking sharp. Great job! You can find a picture of the car in Redbud's Pit Shots.
Tony Daisey returned after getting the bright orange Numbered 7 repaired from an incident on the first time they ran this year.
Ron Wilson took last year off, but returned this year and has already cleaned up with 2 wins out of 3 features so far. Johnson started on the pole, but Tim Chambers, 22, shot to the lead on the start. Wilson moved to 2nd on lap 1. Lap 2 Chambers stole the lead from Chambers. By lap 5 Bill Brittingham had climb to 6th. (after winning on the last visit he started in the rear in 14th. Brittingham and Jeff Karr, 7K, approach turn 3 when they make contact and Brittingham left front tire blew and he got around. All cars get by except, Karr was with Brittingham still and clips the front right side of the number 4 and keeps trying to go pushing Brittingham. Finally they broke free. Brittingham had to pit and returned 1 lap down.
Jamie Wagner continued to be strong again this visit. By lap 6 he was on the move and was in 4th after starting 11. Lap 10 was when more yellows came about. The guys were going to run 2 more laps instead of the 10 laps they usually run in a feature.
The track was slick and there were quite a few cautions in all the features but, the Lincoln's could not just could not get past lap 10 & 11. 4 restarts of lap 10 and finally lap 11 start had Pat O'Neal, 00, around in turns 1 & 2, with Duke Walsen, 9, also involved, going over the top of the turn; and in turn 4 Kenny Foy, 47, gets around. So the race was checkered.
Little Lincoln put on a great show, but during the last 2 laps Pat O’ Neal got around and Duke Walsen goes over the turn 1 & 2 with taking a hard hit with his head. He was checked at the local hospital, Nanticoke in Seaford, DE, and sent home, he is okay.
Duke Walsen had a very hard hit and hit his head pretty hard on the roll cage. I was told the helmet cracked, but have not been told that officially. Walsen was taken to Nanticoke in Seaford, DE, and is resting at home. He is okay!
UPDATE: Monday Duke notified me that he is okay, he was unconscious for a brief while and only remembers bits and pieces. The helmet is quite scratched, but not cracked all the way through, but a new one will be needed. Duke wants to thank all that helped him Saturday night.
