Cliff Foskey may have started 2nd, but he worked for his first win for 2006 on his sponsor's Sponsor night by Scott's Furniture.  Only 1 lap in Foskey leans into turn 3, as leader Glen Reed went into turn3 just a bit out of line Foskey shoots to the bottom and took the lead.  Lap 8 yellow brought Reed and Foskey still in 1 & 2 on the restart, but Reed gets a flat on the restart; on that restart Wilkins darts to 2nd.  At 1/2 way it was Foskey, Wilkins, Ricky Johnson, H. J. Bunting, and Donny Radd.  Bunting's car was reeling in and coming together as he moved to 3rd on lap 13.  Lap 15 Johnson challenge Bunting on the outside but Bunting hold his line.  Lap 19 Radd moved to 3rd through turns 3 & 4 but a caution is out.  Restart had Foskey leading, Wilkins, Bunting, Radd, and Johnson.  Lap 20 Wilkins wavered just a touch in turn 2 but gathers it up but Bunting is on the door knocking for 2nd.  Lap 22 Bunting moved to 2nd.  From that to the win with Bunting and Foskey wheel to wheel to the end with Foskey only having .076 lead.  Foskey was superb the whole feature and well earn the win with some of the luck that team has had this season.

In the first heat, Norman Short, Jamie Mills, and Downs were 3 wide out of turn 2 and someone got loose causing a trickle down effect costing Short his car for the night, with a piece of the frame missing.  Downs had a radius rod break but was able to fix it.  Full field of modifieds were on hand tonight.

Tom Curtis had trouble and didn't run.  Short drove the Eddie Collins in the feature.

Ricky Elliott made his 3rd appearance and took home the 3rd win.  Elliott also won at Georgetown Friday night as he made his second appearance there and took his 2nd win.

Lou Johnson had a nice stretch out front after the feature started and he sailed to the lead.  By lap 4 Johnson was lapping Larry Meadows with Gary Simpson, Rick Whaley, and Richard Jarvis, Jr. following.  Lap 10 the first yellow waved; Johnson didn't need that.  Half way just before the yellow Johnson leads, Simpson, Whaley, Elliott, and Jarvis.  On that restart Elliott flies into 2nd position and takes the lead near lap 13.  Lap 16 after a yellow the top 5 were, Elliott, Johnson, Jarvis, Lingo, and Simpson for the single restart .  Lap 18 Lingo & Jarvis battle for 3rd wheel to wheel with Jarvis taking 3rd as he came out of turn 4.

Jarvis was battling a power steering problem.  Its a great show these guys put on especially when all the regulars (Jarvis, Whaley) are here and they switch back and fourth for positions.

Dave Graber made his first trip to DIS in a while.

Kenny Pettyjohn was not at DIS as he lost a motor on Friday night at GT.  David Pettyjohn still has him motors getting worked on so he was in the orange # 10 late model of G. G. Messick.
